This article was recently moved from the draft space, but I question whether that was a wise choice. The article purports to be about the physical properties of selenium, but instead concentrates solely on the optical properties of selenium. Further, the article does not actually report any of the optical properties of selenium, but rather gives some rather detailed descriptions of the experiments that have been carried out to discover said optical properties. Readers would rather know the results of the studies than the studies' methodologies. I suspect the problem is that the research is still ongoing, and the optical properties have not yet been fully characterized, in which case this article may be premature. I propose to reduce this article to a redirect to Selenium#Physical properties. I specifically invite Tarawneh and MousaJafar2070 to join this discussion. Per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Optical properties of selenium, I have merged what small content is contained in this article into the main selenium article. I have created a section there titled "Optical properties" which mentions the intense research interest in the topic, but which presents no actual optical properties (since this article does not actually provide any information on that subject). I urge this article's author(s) to expand the "optical properties" section with some actual optical properties. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:08, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
