I just deleted a paragraph which claimed that the standard practice is to quote the length of a vessel as LWL and therefore the length of current models was overstated. The citation provided was relevant to ships. But for yachts the practice has always been to name a yacht using the approximate length in feed from stem to stern. I am not sure what the motivation was for the paragraph. It almost sounded like a customer who felt they were undersold by length!Billlion (talk) 13:37, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
