There's an accessibility tag at the top of the article about the colors used in tables. By my testing, every color/text combination gets a triple A accessibility rating. Can we remove the tag? If not, any proposals for how to adjust the colors? DFlhb (talk) 16:58, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't actually get a triple AAA against link color, see ((ColorCell)) and MOS:COLORS. The article used to employ common table cell templates with an associated meaning instead of a (new) arbitrary pallette. ((ColorCell)) was created by the same editor that applied it to this page. I would suggest going back to templates with meaning as follows:
I'd missed the link colors. Support the proposed colors, better than the current and the old. Though I believe the color for "retired" is unchanged between old and proposed — DFlhb (talk) 00:16, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Just to be sure, do you propose we use the old color (and template) for retired? It's the same color and template proposed for intentionally destroyed. I'm ok with the coincidence, but some might prefer a distinction. --Fernando Trebien (talk) 00:55, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
They could employ the same template, but I think they mean slightly different things in the article. I think scrapped refers to the idea of disposal during construction taking parts to reuse, while intentionally destroyed refers to irrecoverable disposal after construction during some operation, usually a test. --Fernando Trebien (talk) 15:31, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
