Basically, there is not citations throughout the entire article, I might look on the internet later and add them. Dorky1234 (talk) 06:11, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
It is a month into 2023, I think there should be a global track map by now. RandomInfinity17 (talk) 22:43, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
Good morning my fellow Wikipedians if you're reading this. I need to announce something on using the JTWC pressure reading or wind readings as we have been having a little problem with new users and IPS adding the JTWC pressure reading for Cyclone Freddy. We do not use the JTWC pressure or wind readings on Wikipedia. We use Meteo-France (MFR) stats in the South-West Indian basin, the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) in the Australian basin, Fiji Meteorological Service (FMS) in the South Pacific, Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) in the West Pacific, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in the North Indian basin, Central Pacific Hurricane Center (CPHC) in the Central Pacific, and National Hurricane Center in the North Atlantic and East Pacific. I understand some users are new and sometimes IPs don't know the rules of Wikipedia so I consider all those edits good faith. Please go to those aforementioned agencies websites and get your sources from those meteorological agencies website. Please do not get your source from the JTWC website and add their pressure readings and/or wind readings to this article since this article uses official stats, please guys I beg of you, cheers :). After looking through so many of the tropical cyclones articles, a lot of changes, like damage totals and death tolls get added to this article without a corresponding reference. From this point forward, I’m going to start reverting unsourced changes to death tolls and damage totals. There is entire lists like Tropical cyclones in 2011 sourced by 4 sources total, with 90% of the article fully unsourced. The fact unsourced additions are still occurring in 2023 is probably hurting article quality more than the editor is helping with the updates. So reverting to basically get it through to people is the way to go now. Elijahandskip (talk) 19:14, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
I know Kevin was stronger than Freddy, but should Freddy's peak image be shown with Kevin's in the February chart? Layah50♪ ( 話して~! ) 03:31, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
How long is Freddy and it's current ACE value? TheEasternEditer (talk) 18:59, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

Does Cyclone Yaku count as a tropical cyclone? If so, in which basin would it belong? I notice that Yaku is included on the page South American Hurricanes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_South_America_hurricanes Tajjc (talk) 14:42, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
As of this today (March 16, 2023), a citation is needed for the following:

As of now, there is two reports on the total death count for Cyclone Mocha. ASEAN claimed 152 deaths while the National Unity Government of Myanmar claimed 463. This messes up the total death count for tropical cyclones in 2023 due to different death claims. Which source should be used? ▶❓◀ 💬✍ 14:29, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
In this article (Tropical cyclones in 2023#May), Cyclone Fabien is marked with 2 deaths. However, the seasonal article and section for Cyclone Fabien (2022–23 South-West Indian Ocean cyclone season#Intense Tropical Cyclone Fabien) does not mention any deaths. Since the chart did not have any references for Cyclone Fabien, I marked the section with a citation needed template. Sleepinthestars, since you added the two deaths to the chart in this edit, could you add a citation or let someone know in this discussion where the information about the two deaths came from? Thank you! Elijahandskip (talk) 01:43, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
Should Cyclone Mawar's death toll in Tropical cyclones in 2023#May be marked as 0 or Unknown (current)? Sources like Al Jazeera directly state, "No fatalities or major injuries reported in the aftermath of the heaviest storm to hit the US territory since 2002."
([1]). Since there is multiple reliable sources that say "no deaths" or "no fatalities", I personally think the chart should have the death toll set at "0" rather than "Unknown". Anyone have thoughts? Elijahandskip (talk) 01:47, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
In this article, (Tropical cyclones in 2023#April), Cyclone Ilsa has a damage total and a death toll. There is a source provided for the death toll, ([2]), but the ABC News article does not mention a $4 million damage total, or actually any damage total at all for the cyclone. Can someone add a source for the damage total since at the moment, it is unsourced? Elijahandskip (talk) 01:51, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
I think we shouldn't determine the level of activity solely by the number of systems formed. Although May only saw the formation of four storms with three of them being named, those named storms were all intense and included two Category-5 tropical cyclones. Additionally, the ACE was 83.415, compared to the 1991-2020 average of 25. Even though we think about the number of storms, the average of tropical storms formed is 4, only 1 above the number for May. So I can't understand why the article says that May is a very inactive month. IntegerSequences (talk | contribs) 02:33, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
Should Cyclone 03B be added? I notice it on JTWC page (https://www.metoc.navy.mil/jtwc/products/io0323web.txt). IMD still regards it as a well marked low pressure area. Tajjc (talk) 15:27, 9 June 2023 (UTC)
I noticed Storms Helios and Juliette in the Mediterranean were removed from the Summary section, but they are still referred to throughout the rest of the article. Should they or should they not be included? Maple Doctor (talk) 05:09, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
The year summary map is outdated (It was removed). Can someone go update it? (Inform me on my talk page if someone already did) Nanchang17 (talk) 15:46, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
