Change redirect to Ringer (TV series)#Zoey Deutch. This is a major TV role and makes more sense than a redirect to what appears at first glance to be a random person. Geraldo Perez (talk) 16:36, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
This page was recreated September 16, 2011 because the issues raised in the deletion debate have been addressed and the article now meets WP:ENT with two significant roles in notable television series. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:08, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
I've removed the birthdate from the article because the date is uncertain. As of this version of the article, there are two references from wetpaint.com. The first,[1] dated September 9, 2011 says her birthdate is November 10, 1994, while the second,[2] says it's December 1, 1994. Interestingly, a third reference from in the article,[3] says that her sister's birthdate as March 23, 1991 while hers is only stated as "born in 1994", which would seem to indicate that the actual date is not easy to find. Even imdb doesn't list a birthdate. Until such time as more sources confirming her birthdate can be found, it can't be included in the article. --AussieLegend (talk) 19:20, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
Zoey Deutch To all those who sent me happy birthday messages, I thank you kindly for the thought(?), but it's not until November 10th! :) Xo Teilen · 11. September um 03:12 [4] --188.174.82.157 (talk) 10:19, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
So I added in Zoey's full name and birthdate a while ago and got my edits removed, with reasons stating that "I couldn't prove it was her" or something like that. The California Birth Index lists a "Zoey Francis Thompson Deutch." Okay, you already know her name is indeed Zoey Deutch. You know her mother's last name is Thompson, so that part makes complete sense. It has been confirmed that she was born in California, and the birthdate listed in the index is November 10, 1994 and you guys are almost certain that she was born in 1994 since that part hasn't been removed from the article. This is a matter of deductive reasoning. I doubt that there is another Zoey Deutch born in California in 1994 with both of her parents' last names. I know the birth index was accurate because I was also born in California and my correct full name is listed in the birth index when you enter my first and last name and I'm not even famous. I'm just trying to explain myself here. L'papillon (talk) 04:49, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
Oh and by the way, if you check Zoey's Twitter, her birthday is indeed November 10, 1994 (she mentioned turning 17), so I'm adding that in with references to her tweets. L'papillon (talk) 04:59, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
The wetpaint reference is already discussed above but there are other aspects of this source that come into question. A few days ago this edit added the claim "Zoey got her start in a 2010 episode of NCIS, which led to an eight-episode guest star on The Suite Life on Deck as Zack Martin's love interest. This appears to have been lifted directly from the wetpaint source. The problem with this claim is that she appeared on TSLOD four times before the "2010" NCIS episode aired on March 1, 2011, the earliest appearance being July 23, 2010, over 7 months before her NCIS appearance. As with the birthdate, I don't think we comfortably use wetpaint as a source unless it's supported by another source. This means the full name is dubious. Although it's not cited in the article, it's only listed at wetpaint, in the same article as the other suspicious content. --AussieLegend (talk) 15:35, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
Today I removed the following passage per BLP as unsupported:
Her great-uncle is actor Robert Walden (who is her paternal grandmother's brother). She was raised in her father's Jewish religion, and had a Bat Mitzvah.
because the sentence:
Her great-uncle is actor Robert Walden (who is her paternal grandmother's brother).
was not supported by any of the references. The remaining sentence: She was raised in her father's Jewish religion, and had a Bat Mitzvah. is actually supported, but I removed that sentence also for two reasons: 1. At the time my "CTRL F" search of the sources could not find any hits for "Jewish" or "Bat Mitzvah" in the sources. 2. The supporting references "showbizcafe", "fanbolt.com" and "sunsentinel" don't look reliable, at least for a BLP subject, so I thought they should not be used in any case. Since I got reverted and I am not planning to revert again, I can only suggest that these sources should be replaced by other, more reliable ones. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 21:42, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
The article so far sounds like a puff piece for the actress, consisting mostly of lists of magazines she's been on, famous actors she's worked with, and a number of inline citations that are barely more than a URL. I've tried to tone down the sensationalism and make it a bit more encyclopedic. Some articles with substance would be helpful, as well. LovelyLillith (talk) 02:04, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
