Overall: The article was new enough to mainspace when nominated, is easily long enough (>10k characters), and is otherwise eligible for DYK. The QPQ review looks good. It's difficult for me to assess the sourcing, since most of the citations are to offline books I don't have access to and/or written in Indonesian (a language I don't speak). If I AGF on the citations given, there is a citation for every paragraph and every substantive claim made in the article. The text doesn't seem excessively promotional or hagiographical. The Earwig tool shows no signs of plagiarism from online sources, and I'm not seeing any problems in the English-language online sources I can access. I have to AGF on the citation for the hook, as well, but there is a citation. I'm afraid I can't quite understand what the proposed hook is trying to say: that the price of his dental services was... variable? What does that have to do with him being the only dentist in town, or his services being popular? Can this be worded some other way? There's a bigger problem, however: the article as it now stands seems to be unfinished. In trying to establish the subsject's notability, the lead section asserts that he was "the first governor of South Sumatra", yet the body never gets to that point in his life to make such a claim (and, indeed, that claim is contradicted by the List of governors of South Sumatra, which puts Adnan Kapau Gani first). The lead also claims that the subject was "the first rector of the Sriwijaya University", but nothing about this appears anywhere in the body. The article needs to be completed before it can be reviewed. Bryan Rutherford (talk) 17:43, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
