The Good Half is a 2023 American comedy drama film written by Brett Ryland, directed by Robert Schwartzman and starring Nick Jonas.
The film premiered at the Tribeca Festival on June 8, 2023.[1]
The film has an 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on seven reviews.[2] Brittany Witherspoon of Screen Rant awarded the film three and a half stars out of five.[3]
Lovia Gyarkye of The Hollywood Reporter gave the film a negative review and wrote, "It’s disappointing when The Good Half undercuts its own momentum. Jagged transitions and an overuse of slow-motion, needle-drop moments contribute to the overall unevenness."[4]
Damon Wise of Deadline Hollywood also gave the film a negative review and wrote, "If only the script had taken such a deep dive."[5]
Kyndall Cunnighman of The Daily Beast also gave the film a negative review and wrote, "From its formulaic plot to its mechanical dialogue and one-dimensional characters, The Good Half is as generic and uncurious as a movie about grief and masculinity can get."[6]
