The Voice of Holland (also known as TVOH) is a Dutch reality singing competition, created by media tycoon John de Mol, and currently airing on RTL4 in The Netherlands. Hosted by Martijn Krabbé and Wendy van Dijk it is currently the number 1 show in the Netherlands, with increasing ratings from 1.6 to 3.0 million viewers. And 3.75 million viewers watched the final on January 21th 2011.
One of the important premises of the show is the quality of the singing talent. Four coaches, themselves popular performing artists, train the talents in their group and occasionally perform with them. Talents are selected in blind auditions, where the coaches cannot see, but only hear the auditioner.[1] The music of the Dutch show is provided by a live band, called the Edwin Evers Band.
The First Season ended on January 21, 2011, Ben Saunders was declared the winner
