Titkan (Persian: تيتكان), also Romanized as Tītkan and Tītakan; also known as Tītak,[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Zalaqi District (formerly Besharat District) of Aligudarz County, Lorestan province, Iran.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 255 in 45 households, when it was a village in Zalaqi-ye Sharqi Rural District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 431 people in 88 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 378 people in 95 households.[2]
After the census, the name of the district was changed to Zalaqi District[4] and the village was elevated to the status of a city.[7]
