Ahn Hee Yeon (Korean: 안희연; born May 1, 1992), better known by her stage name Hani is a singer. She is the lead vocalist and visual of the K-pop girl group EXID. She made her official debut as EXID member on February 16, 2012; In 2013, she formed sub-unit Dasoni with Solji and released their debut single <<Good Bye>> on February 15.
Ahn Hee Yeon was born in the South Korean capital Seoul Special City (now Seoul) on May 1, 1992 and was educated at the Jiri Mountain High School. She was a trainee at Cube Entertainment and JYP Entertainment. She formed a girl group with SISTAR member Hyolyn, Secret member Song Jieun and BESTie member UJi (Who was also a former member of EXID), but she went aboard to study at China after getting eliminated on JYP.
She has been on the show Off to School and has shown that not only is she fluent in Chinese, but also English as well. She has a IQ of over 145 and have gotten 900 points in the TOEIC test after only studying for two months.
EXID official debuted on February 15, 2012 with the release of their debut single, "Whoz That Girl"
Formed sub-unit called "Dasoni" with Solji The sub-unit released their debut single "Goodbye" on February 15, 2013 which also included the song "Said So Often".
On August 24, 2014, EXID held their comeback showcase at the Ilchi Art Hall, performing their new song "Up & Down".[1] The song was released on August 27 and initially charted poorly, failing to make it on the top 100 on the Gaon Chart; though it peaked at number 94 on the domestic chart.[2] However, the song slowly gained popularity in late November after a fan-cam of member Hani performing the song went viral on Korean social networking websites.[3][4] This lead to the song shooting back up on the music charts, eventually climbing up into the top 10 on the real-time charts and topping the Gaon Chart.[5][6][7] Due to the success, EXID returned to several music programs to promote "Up and Down".[8] The song was subsequently nominated for a first place award on Show! Music Core, The Music Trend, and M Countdown, in which they won the latter on January 8, 2015 for the first time since the group's debut.[9][10][11] On January 9, the group won its first public broadcast music program award at KBS's Music Bank.[12] The Music Bank win was followed up by a win at the January 11's edition of SBS's Inkigayo.[13]
