The 2019 World Urban Games, commonly known as Budapest 2019, was an inaugural international urban multi-sport event organized by GAISF . It was scheduled for three days, 13 to 15 September 2019, in Budapest, Hungary.
It had originally been scheduled to be hosted in Los Angeles, howeverit was announced that the Games were being relocated as the host city had not agreed a programme of events.[1]
In 14 June 2019, Qatar was announced as the host of the 2019 World Beach Games.
The 2019 World Urban Games featured 18 events in 8 sports.[2] All of the events in this edition are non-Olympic events different from the Summer Olympic program and are gender equal.
