Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Alnour.ebrahim! Your additions to A'Sharqiyah University have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 05:17, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I sincerely apologize for misunderstanding Wikipedia's editing policies. I created multiple accounts to publish an article about my institution, and I now understand that this violates the Wikipedia policy as sockpuppet. I take full responsibility for my actions and assure you that it was not my intention to manipulate information & will not gonna happened once again.

I have carefully reviewed the relevant policies and guidelines, including those on conflict of interest (COI) disclosure. I am committed to following them tightly in the future and using proper COI disclosure procedures when contributing content related to my institution.
I hope to become a positive contributor to Wikipedia by creating well sourced and informative content . Alnour.ebrahim (talk) 05:54, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Most likely your only pathway forward is the standard offer process; six months with no edits under any account or IP as a show of good faith, then request unblock and tell us what edits you intend to make. You won't be unblocked to, in the near term, edit about your institution; if that is your only goal here, this is the end of the line. That isn't permanent, but we will need to see a significant edit history of edits in topics unrelated to your institution showing that you understand relevant policies and guidelines before permitting you to indirectly contribute about your institution. You may tell us what topics you will edit about after the standard offer process. 331dot (talk) 07:54, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the ((unblock)) template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
