Minnesota Boychoir[edit]

Hi. I noticed that you created Minnesota Boychoir, but the page didn't contain any content other than the name of the group. Per Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion, articles that contain no content, or that contain very little content, may be deleted. If you wish to recreate the article, please add enough material so people can tell that the group is notable (see Wikipedia:Notability). --Elkman (Elkspeak) 14:57, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Minnesota Boychoir 2[edit]

A tag has been placed on Minnesota Boychoir, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add ((hangon)) on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Whispering 13:32, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I am not a admin so I can not undelete the page. There is two ways that you can go about getting your page undeleted the first (and the one I recommend) is deletion review or second you can just ask a admin to help you. Put a ((help)) template on your talk page and someone will come and help you out. Any other questions? Whispering 15:44, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation[edit]

We are in the process of editing the information to make it more neutral. We have added citations from reputable newspapers, the director of the choir, and a former member.

Hello there. I was a member of the Minnesota Boychoir from 1976 to 1982. The choir actually did quite a bit when I was singing under Paul Pfeiffer's direction. Certainly more than just sing in Lutheran Churches. We recorded 5 albums during my years which was something back then. We sang mostly secular music, actually. One year, I was a soloist when we sang "Blue Danube" by Johann Strauss. We traveled around the tri state area and also to Chicago, Baltimore, Richmond, and Vienna, Austria. We did collaborative efforts with the Minnesota Orchestra. Philp Brunelle (conductor of the Minnesota Orchestra) had a working relationship with our director, Paul Pfeiffer. We gave annual concerts in the Landmark Center in downtown St. Paul. The concerts included skits and were always something we looked forward to. Anyway, I am happy to answer any questions you might have on the choir during the late 70's and early 80's. I know they went to Japan and Czechslovakia in the late 80's. The information you have is incomplete. I respectfully submit that it is certainly not accuarate to say that we strictly sang in Lutheran Churches and didn't delve into secular music. It simply isn't true and sells short the accomplishments of the choir during the time I was a member. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mktkmp (talkcontribs) 17:49, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help request[edit]

((help)) Hello, I noticed you had placed the above template on your talk page, but I didn't see that you had asked a question, so removed the template to avoid confusing other editors. If I was mistaken or if you have a new question, please feel free to put the tag back up or contact me on my talk page. Happy editing. Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:47, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, about the article you seem to be writing on your user page: I highly recommend that you read through our pages on Conflict of interest and Original research. In order to maintain a neutral point of view, we strongly encourage people who are personally involved with a subject to avoid writing articles about it. If you or your subject is notable, then you can request an article be created by another, unaffiliated user here. As for the original research, in order to make sure that all information is reliably sourced for easy verification, Wikipedia does not accept research conducted by editors of the article. I noticed you had multiple references to personal interviews - this is original research and not acceptable for articles on this site. If you still have questions, again, please feel free to let me know. Hersfold (t/a/c) 00:53, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks- we will work on it. 131.212.140.33 01:26, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
