AfD nomination of Buggy Days Celebration[edit]

I have nominated Buggy Days Celebration, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Buggy Days Celebration. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? ukexpat (talk) 22:02, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Buggy days[edit]

Hello, and welcome to wikipedia! It's pretty unpleasant to have the first article you write nominated for deletion, I know. Here are a few things you can do to work around that:

  1. You can make a "sub page" on your WP:userpage in order to work on the article without time limits and without scrutiny. When you think it is ready, you can use the "move" button to move it to the main page. You can create a sub page by going to the location bad when you are on your userpage and typing "/new article" (without the quotes) after your username. You will get a prompt to make a page entitled: "User:Bullet30204/new article". Once you do that you can use that link to get back to that page at any time. While an article is in your userspace no one will come by to delete it unless it is spam, an attack page, private information or other really bad stuff. If you want, you can move the article right now to your user space (or ask another editor to help you). When articles are in "main space", outside users expect them to be of high quality so we need to enforce basic rules about subject matter and sourcing.
  2. Check out Wikipedia:Your_first_article for some good guides on how to get started. Or just ask me! You can reply here or on my talk page.

either way, welcome to wikipedia. I hope you stick around. Protonk (talk) 22:47, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

These newspaper sources would probably count towards notability. (At the very least, they would justify a section about the festival in the Barnesville, Georgia article.) Hopefully, you can access some of them through a local library. If you need help with Wikipedia formatting and what not, just ask. Zagalejo^^^ 00:13, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 22:58, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
