Welcome[edit]

Hello, Cm8587a and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.

Go through our online training for students.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place ((Helpme)) before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, if your class doesn't already have one. It is highly recommended that you place this text: ((Educational assignment)) on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Jprg1966 (talk) 22:03, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Hi Cm8587a , I saw your question on the breakfast project talk page. Looks like you've got the hang of things and are making some good edits. In case you still want more general advice, a good if rather long page to read is Wikipedia:A Primer for newcomers. We are glad you've joined us. Charlotte Gower Chapman[edit]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Charlotte Gower Chapman, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.flickr.com/photos/smithsonian/5493789731/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Charlotte Gower Chapman reference suggestion[edit]

I recently went into your article on Charlotte Gower Chapman and cleaned a few things up. It's a nice article on someone that definitely needed to be on Wikipedia, thank you for making it. I also added another reference to it, Excluded Ancestors, Inventible Traditions, which you may find useful in expanding the article, as it has an entire chapter devoted to Chapman's life. I wish you well. SilverserenC 02:58, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Larry McNeil (photographer)[edit]

The article Larry McNeil (photographer) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the ((prod blp)) tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Larry McNeil[edit]

I just read your blog post about Larry McNeil and thought I would help out a bit. So I made some additions to the article in regards to content and references. I hope it helps.

Also, i'm glad you're feeling more confident about Wikipedia and its reliability. While I certainly would never outright consider it reliable without checking the sources of an article, Wikipedia is still a pretty good resource that you can trust in general to have helpful information. August 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Miky Fabrega. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this: |image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]], instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do: |image=SomeImage.jpg. There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!!
