Hi, I see you're German-English bilingual. If you're looking for any particular backlogs to help with, WP:PNT always, always needs help. I linked the German-specific category above. Feel free to reply here if you have any questions about this kind of work. I'm happy to help. This is one of the things I started out doing when I joined. :) -- asilvering (talk) 20:03, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by DoubleGrazing was:
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
in-depth (not just passing mentions about the subject)
Make sure you add references that meet these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This could (should, really) be notable, but the sources are mostly primary, and the few secondary sources talk about individual winners/years rather than about the prize itself. Can you find more secondary sources with significant coverage of the price, in a general sense?
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Friedrich Gerstäcker Prize and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.

Hi DoubleGrazing - thanks for pointing this out. And thanks for saying this should, really, be notable. Sadly Gerstäcker does get all the heat he deserves, in Germany more so than in the US, and the prize a quite a thing in Germany, but again, in the US, not so much, not too many people have heard of it here. I wanted to help change that, but what you say is perfectly fair and, also, as it turned out, correct. I cannot seem to find any relevant secondary US sources that report on the prize itself (rather than the individual winners), so thanks for pointing that out!
