Short of creating a disambig page (and replacing the top line of the Orca article with a standard « For other uses of the word Orca... » line, yes, the to-be-filled-in by some future author link belongs there. The Orca, a sea-monster, is slain by Rogero in chant XI, when it is about to devour Angelica (shades of Andromeda's story). See the Encyclopædia Britannica, amongst other sources. Just wanted to let you know that your "How's my driving?" RFC signature is by far the funniest I've seen here. The mental image it conjures of a half-asleep Wikipedian swerving through sentences and careening off punctuation marks while other editors honk and flash their lights is endlessly amusing. :) —HorsePunchKid→龜 08:22, July 23, 2005 (UTC)
In the episode "Lethal Weapons," Stewie falls into a female baby's carriage and says "I smell a messy diaper. God, why does that turn me on?" But since that's the only thing I can think of to support the idea of Stewie as a scatophile, I won't be rushing to add that back to the article. Cromulent Kwyjibo 22:28, 27 July 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, I botched it in Blackface with regard to my attempt at a grammatical patch over a congealed mass of commas by putting a semicolon in; the portion after the semicolon would not have been a complete sentence. (Was this one right?) Thanks for the patch, and let it be observed that C programmers tend to overuse semicolons- something of a feature of the programming language. *grin* Kistaro Windrider 08:03, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
I haven't even read your note. The word is "affect." Period. Per Roget's Thesaurus, various appropriate synonyms are: "ASSUME 4, act, bluff, counterfeit, fake, feign, pretend, put on, sham, simulate." GOT THAT? deeceevoice 01:17, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
Don't presume to lecture me about my attitude. I've quoted Roget's Thesaurus, and you assume I've somehow "misread" it? Please. Don't insult my intelligence. I could say the same thing with regard to your reading of the online dictionary. Presumably, if you can access an online dictionary, then you can also access Roget's online. Why not take a moment and do so -- before you ASS-ume I'm too simple-minded to read it correctly? When I need an English lesson from you, I'll let you know. deeceevoice 01:39, 31 July 2005 (UTC)
This is not a war of wills, nor is it a pissing match; this is not about 'having it my way.' This is about what is appropriate syntax and what is not. "Effect" is clearly incorrect. Now, if I had written, "White blackface performers in the past used burnt cork and, later, greasepaint to affect jet-black skin and exaggerated lips, often wearing woolly wigs, gloves, tails, or ragged clothes to effect (rather than "complete") the transformation," that would have been correct. "Affect" would have been incorrect in the second instance (not to mention redundant). If you fail to understand the difference, there is little I can say to educate you. Next time, I suggest you do your homework a little more thoroughly before assuming someone incapable of understanding a simple list of synonyms and then writing them a lengthy, didactic and incorrect missive about what you incorrectly understand to be proper syntax. You will note that the other wholly unnecessary, niggling -- and in one case, obviously inappropriate -- changes you made in the body of the article also have been reverted. If it's not an improvement to a piece, then just leave it be. Changing something simply because it gives you something to do is just plain silly -- not to mention annoying. Next time, you might consider sticking to cleaning up the references, which, presumably, you've done adequately. I haven't checked them because, frankly, that sort of thing doesn't interest me in the least. But it's a necessary contribution, and I thank you for that. deeceevoice 07:26, 31 July 2005 (UTC)

I commend you on your re-write. It seems well-reasoned and flows well. I tweaked two things, in the interest of a just compromise. I removed the details about the show, as I believe it should be saved for the show's innevitable entry. I also modified it to reflect that all that has been verified is that Way has said these things. I do hope that is agreeable. Incidently,I can't access your comment regarding your motive for leaving out Funhaus. Enlighten me, please. I apologize if I've caused tempers to flare. Months of saving those entries from truly vacuous and idiotic edits has frayed my nerves somewhat. Hinklethedink 06:24, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
My Chemical Romance yields no sound of post-punk, darkwave, goth-rock, goth-punk, gothic symphony, or goth metal sounds, therefore i would like to keep the genre under punk and emocore at most, adding goth will merely add confusion. It does not matter how goth they appear, they are not. Punk is a more appropriate genre.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Synthetic coma (talk • contribs) 2005-11-19 17:46:29
Id rather not change it, so if you read your refrence then you would know that it is a description of appearence. not genre. yahoo launch has good genre summarys, check there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.218.244.11 (talk • contribs)
Ive changed the genre to Alt Rock and Punk rock, using Rolling Stone as a verifiable source. I also added Alternative Press to change the genre as well. Here's the deal, my RS source is valid, and the genre remains, OR Rolling Stone is not a valid source, in which your genre must be removed too.
Happy to free the genre Goth-punk and Goth Rock from the clutches of evil, Pluto Uebel
Regarding [4] The initial entry could not be finished yesterday, hence the entry being only the virtually non-informative stub for a day. However, the article in its current form (and will be updated as soon as the next record title is announced) is well worth preserving :) There has also been a remark that the 'mark for speedy deletion' tag within the article was once removed (yes, I know... BIG no-no), however that was an unintentional mishap due to database update lag (similar double commit, and me not paying proper attention to the error message before resubmitting).
Comment to your last edit: Source of info about the pending release is the band itself. About a month ago all the work was done (recording, mixing etc), but as long as matters is in the hands of the record label they were not yet certain when it will actually be released.

I've decided to copy you in on this comment that I added to Talk:USA PATRIOT Act.
I'm very sad to say that the article is next to useless. Neither the USA Act or USA PATRIOT Act detail the various clauses. There is tantalising detail here about what the Act contained: for instance, it allowed the FBI to employ translators!
I notice that the actual text of the Act itself has ten titles, each with their own important subsections. Hardly any are covered in this article. This makes it impossible for me to evaluate the criticisms levelled at the Act. I find that this is sad, especially in the light of the following sentence (from the article): "According to The Gallup Organization, the public is wary but ignorant about the USA PATRIOT Act." This article doesn't do much at all to assist with informing anyone about the scope of the Act!
Surely we can do better than this?

I'm aware of the Wikipedia self-reference exceptions, I just think saying "many sites, including Wikipedia." calls too much attention to the fact that the reader is currently reading Wikipedia. Compare to the wording "Many sites on the Inernet, such as Wikipedia, ..." or "Sites on the Internet, particularly Wikipedia, ..." Not a big deal, and I have no problem with the way it is now, just wanted to explain where I was coming from, so you don't think I'm some fanatic that just goes around deleting all Wikpedia mentions. :) Turnstep 23:14, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

In traditional logic they are not the same thing and more than a different part of speech. "Conversion" is the process of inference and may require other rules in arriving at the "converse". "Converse" is the product of conversion. The "converse" article needs to be eliminated and redirected to "Conversion", but there is also the discussion that they should somehow be merged with "Inverse", which I think is not correct. Amerindianarts 00:50, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
Hey there. I'm pleased to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator! You've volunteered to do housekeeping duties that normal users sadly cannot participate in. Sysops can't do a lot of stuff: They can't delete pages just like that (except patent nonsense like "aojt9085yu8;3ou"), and they can't protect pages in an edit war they are involved in. But they can delete random junk, ban anonymous vandals, delete pages listed on Votes for deletion (provided there's a consensus) for more than one week, protect pages when asked to, and keep the few protected pages that exist on Wikipedia up to date.
Almost anything you can do can be undone, but please take a look at The Administrators' how-to guide and the Administrators' reading list before you get started (although you should have read that during your candidacy ;). Take a look before experimenting with your powers. Also, please add Administrators' noticeboard to your watchlist, as there are always discussions/requests for admins there. I thought that I would let you know that I have done a self-analysis on my voting tendencies, based on statistical analysis. I had to do it by hand though because I couldn't figure out a tool to use. Took me about 2 hours to do, and then I gave up. I will link to my analysis here: User:Zordrac#AFD_votes. As a little quick conclusion, I have voted "delete" 61% of the time (in pure keep/delete votes). Also, of over 500 articles that I voted on, and with over 100 which worked out in the opposite manner to which I voted, I only nominated 2 for undeletion. A couple of others were marginal (there was one that was deleted with no votes) and there is one in progress which, if it is deleted, looks like a very good candidate for undeletion due to steamrolling - a second case of someone making false claims of sock puppetry to try to influence the vote. In this case, however, it is a case where that is the *ONLY* method of steamrolling (as opposed to the Sholom Keller one, where several methods were independently used), and it is incredibly obvious, by someone who seems to be a WikiStalker. The article I am referring to is Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Joey_Hawkins. I am just getting in quick there. However, whether I actually nominate it or just use it as an example of steamrolling is another matter. The article in fact is borderline with notoriety - yes he is one of the most successful high school football coaches in USA, which we can prove. But he is still just a football coach. So at this stage I probably wouldn't nominate it for undeletion. But the correct processes were certainly not followed in that case. Another example for you to look at is Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Absolute Boyfriend. With Absolute Boyfriend, it will now pass. That was a seperate kind of issue, however, and is the "sheep" problem, as evidenced with Tzmer whatever his name was - in other words, people were making unresearched and incorrect decisions about something.
So we have 2 prime examples of bad process, versus 2 prime examples of poor voting practise. What the end result is is irrelevant really. But what I have seen with the Joey Hawkins case is that *because* I noted elsewhere that it was unfair, some admins decided to deliberately influence the vote. Now, in my opinion, that's not the right way to go about things. That was a similar case to what happened with the Sholom Keller case - where *because* I pointed out that it was not following correct process, more abuses happened!
Anyway, you can look at my votes by clicking on the links in my page, and you will see that I research my votes, and never act as a sheep. You are free to disagree with my decision though. I am never influenced by other people, and always research everything. I have on a number of occasions been the only one to vote keep when everyone else voted delete - and in about half of these where others voted afterwards, the end result was keep because of my arguments, including people changing their vote from delete to keep because they had been acting like sheep.
I think that an awful lot of untrue things have been said in order to incorrectly support admins who are behaving badly. Zordrac (talk) Wishy Washy Darwikinian Eventualist 19:38, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

Hey, I was impressed to note when we last conversed that you have the regular expression expert box thingy on your user page.... The pattern I have come up with is ([[[A-Za-z]*]]) but that doesn't work very well, apart from anything else it doesnt like punctuation. Anyway, I'm sure you can see what I'm trying to do, but do you know how to do it properly? (I hope that all makes sense) thanks Martin 17:15, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
grep "\[\[.*\]\]" hpk.talk | sed -e 's/^[^[]*\[\[/[[/' \ -e 's/]].*\[\[/]]\n[[/' -e 's/][^]]*$/]/' | sort | uniq
where strArticleText is the text string to search and strPattern is the regex pattern.
foreach (Match m in Regex.Matches(strArticleText, strPattern)) { //convert the match into a string string x = m.ToString(); //adds the string to a listbox lbArticles.Items.Add(x); }
Hopefully you can see what I was attempting, in the mean time I'll attempt your suggestion. best regards Martin 19:55, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I put them up for speedy delete as I was getting pretty much no hits under google[7]. Since I don't read Dutch, I didn't do a Dutch search. From their entry they don't seem notable and they just got out a demo disc. Why do you feel it meets the criterion for notable muscians? Thanks. Janet13 20:38, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
Call it a stub then. It is notable information and should not have been deleted. Thanks for the warning though. That was nice of you. Daviddec 06:07, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

Hi,
Thanks for your comments. I am new to regex. The regex that you suggest is much more efficient! But it needs to be amended to avoid fully formed dates. For example: [[11 December]] [[2005]], [[11 December]], [[2005]]. It only needs to look for a preceding square bracket: ] [[2005]]. But there may also be a space or a comma.
What do you think of the following search ([^\]]{3})\[\[([0-9]{4})\]\] and the following replace $1$2 ?
Thanks for the reference to scriptlets but they might be too technical for me. I would also be grateful if you made your opinions known at: Wikipedia_talk:Bots#Bot_permission_please.3F?
Thanks. Bobblewik 13:20, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

I would like to understand better why the Fortune Lounge Group article keeps on being deleted, as I have tried as much as possible to re-edit the article so that it is less promotional. It would be nice for the Group to feature in the Wiki and I do not mind re-editing the material once again, but I do not understand the grounds for deletion.
I see you have a number of online casinos and poker rooms listed in the Wikipedia and these articles have external links so if this is not ideally the factor for deletion - please could you give me some tips as to how we can feature in the wiki without breaking the editorial rules per se.
I'd really like some feedback and will await a timeous response.Email me at matthewa@fortunelounge.com
Hi,
Since you're an admin that has tangled with this user before, I thought I'd let you know that he's proceeded to try to eliminate the existance of Category:Hair metal groups, replacing every article in that item with the more inaccurate and non-NPOV Category:Glam metal groups. I don't believe that he is a part if WP:MUSIC or that the change was made by any kind of consensus, which would probably amount to vandalism as well.
Looking at his talk history, which as you know he conveniently deletes every time, he's apparently been given warnings about this before. Time to pull the plug on him, maybe?
If I had the power to suggest as an admin, I'd have done something about it myself, but I'll have to leave it in your hands. ---Cjmarsicano 18:04, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
I saw your discussion with User:Mzajac about ISO 8601 signatures (I'd been searching for a way to do it). My signature now is very similar to yours and MZ's. Also your span tags idea is wonderful. Hi, I recently tried to move this page to widow's peak, per your suggestion last October. However, the move failed because the target page already exists as a redirect to the current page. The move page suggested posting a notice on WP:RM and getting the help of an admin. But, since you're an admin and it was your idea to move the page in the first place, I figured why not just cut to the chase and ask you directly. Could you help me out here? Based on a question at the Reference Desk by 80.90.37.86, (Wikipedia:Reference desk/Miscellaneous#Phaistos Disk), I am following up as to why the Talk:Phaistos Disc/Archive1 page was deleted. It was tagged with DB by User:Kadmos and the reason given was "The only editor of this page accidentally created it and requests its deletion". However, I believe that this was a bad faith request on his part as he was not the only editor of the page. If you look at User talk:Kadmos you will see that he had already been asked by NSLE as to why he had removed content from the talk page instead of archiving it. I have only scanned through the deleted page but it appears that there is some complaints about Kadmos, such as "Before "Kadmos" came in, peace had been established..." (from Talk:Phaistos Disc/Archive2). Now I realize that I could well be taking the comments out of context but there seems to be a conflict between User 80.90.XX.XXX range and Kadmos. I realize that I could undelete the page myself but I don't think starting a wheel war is a great idea. So, can you review and see if the page should be undeleted.
I have also contacted User:Enochlau as to Talk:Phaistos Disc/Archive2. Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 14:59, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:ITER Tokamak Cutout.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --– Quadell (talk) (random) 00:28, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Power Play Quartet.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hello HorsePunchKid, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Wolfe shadow & claw.jpg) was found at the following location: User:HorsePunchKid/Gallery. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 07:44, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi. I have a small style note. The period should actually go inside math formulas, not outside them, per WP:MSM. That because if the period is outside, it can get detached from the formula if the formula is at the right margin, and then the period looks very odd by itself on the next line. I thought I'd let you know. :) If you'd like to discuss this, you can do so at WT:WPM. Cheers, Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 02:00, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For power users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:04, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article List of fastest production cars by acceleration is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of fastest production cars by acceleration until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Donnie Park (talk) 09:34, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

Dear HorsePunchKid,
My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the communityHERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
So a few things about the interviews:
Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your nameHERE instead.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.
Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Obar --Jaobar (talk) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chlopeck (talk • contribs) 22:49, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
I thought you might want to know about some upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, extending functionality with JavaScript, the future of ResourceLoader and Gadgets, the new Lua templating system, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.
Check out the Chennai event in March, the Berlin hackathon in June, the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC, or any other of our events.
Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator Sumanah (talk) 14:38, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello, HorsePunchKid. This message is intended to notify administrators of important changes to the protection policy.
Extended confirmed protection (also known as "30/500 protection") is a new level of page protection that only allows edits from accounts at least 30 days old and with 500 edits. The automatically assigned "extended confirmed" user right was created for this purpose. The protection level was created following this community discussion with the primary intention of enforcing various arbitration remedies that prohibited editors under the "30 days/500 edits" threshold to edit certain topic areas.
In July and August 2016, a request for comment established consensus for community use of the new protection level. Administrators are authorized to apply extended confirmed protection to combat any form of disruption (e.g. vandalism, sock puppetry, edit warring, etc.) on any topic, subject to the following conditions:
Please review the protection policy carefully before using this new level of protection on pages. Thank you.

Hello,
Please note that TOTP based two-factor authentication is now available for all administrators. In light of the recent compromised accounts, you are encouraged to add this additional layer of security to your account. It may be enabled on your preferences page in the "User profile" tab under the "Basic information" section. For basic instructions on how to enable two-factor authentication, please see the developing help page for additional information. Important: Be sure to record the two-factor authentication key and the single use keys. If you lose your two factor authentication and do not have the keys, it's possible that your account will not be recoverable. Furthermore, you are encouraged to utilize a unique password and two-factor authentication for the email account associated with your Wikimedia account. This measure will assist in safeguarding your account from malicious password resets. Comments, questions, and concerns may be directed to the thread on the administrators' noticeboard. Hi HorsePunchKid.
A new user group, New Page Reviewer, has been created in a move to greatly improve the standard of new page patrolling. The user right can be granted by any admin at PERM. It is highly recommended that admins look beyond the simple numerical threshold and satisfy themselves that the candidates have the required skills of communication and an advanced knowledge of notability and deletion. Admins are automatically included in this user right.
It is anticipated that this user right will significantly reduce the work load of admins who patrol the performance of the patrollers. However, due to the complexity of the rollout, some rights may have been accorded that may later need to be withdrawn, so some help will still be needed to some extent when discovering wrongly applied deletion tags or inappropriate pages that escape the attention of less experienced reviewers, and above all, hasty and bitey tagging for maintenance. User warnings are available here but very often a friendly custom message works best.
If you have any questions about this user right, don't hesitate to join us at WT:NPR. (Sent to all admins).MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:47, 15 November 2016 (UTC)

Hello,
Beginning in September 2017, the Wikimedia Foundation Anti-harassment tool team will be conducting a survey to gauge how well tools, training, and information exists to assist English Wikipedia administrators in recognizing and mitigating things like sockpuppetry, vandalism, and harassment.
The survey should only take 5 minutes, and your individual response will not be made public. This survey will be integral for our team to determine how to better support administrators.
To take the survey sign up here and we will send you a link to the form.

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in more than one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e. as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised, that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions, that you have not been inactive for a three-year period of time, and that you have not been inactive from administrative tasks for a five year period of time). If you remain inactive for a three-year period of time, including the present year you have been inactive, you will need to request reinstatement at WP:RFA. Further, following a community discussion in March of 2018, administrators suspended for inactivity who have not had any logged administrative activity for five years will need to request reinstatement at WP:RFA. This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. — JJMC89 bot 00:07, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

If you wish to have these permissions reinstated, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e. as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised, that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions, that you have not been inactive for a three-year period of time, and that you have not been inactive from administrative tasks for a five year period of time). — xaosflux Talk 00:53, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
