Welcome[edit]

Hello Nigel2014 and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can write ((helpme)) below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! BU Rob13 (talk) 07:50, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I represent the subject matter who does NOT want this entry changed especially with the inaccurate changes being made. Respect his wishes. Stop changing it. I will be advising Wikipedia of this.

Information icon Hello, Nigel2014. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Max Cryer, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

Thank you for that. I am writing on behalf of the subject matter who is concerned about inaccuracies in the unsolicited edits that were being made to the profile, hence the changes. Nigel2014

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.
