The article Cornell, Modoc County, California has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable location; seems to have just been a railroad waypoint. Passing mentions could be found: [1], but no significant coverage or information could be found. No mention in Cook's history of Modoc County: [2]. Without further information this site is a failure of WP:GEOLAND.

The article Black Butte, California has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not a community, a non-notable railroad siding named for the nearby mountain of Black Butte, and the adjoining Black Butte Spring. No information found that wasn't about the railroad site, and no evidence was found that this was ever truly a community. It's hard to find information unambiguously about Black Butte (most coverage is of the mountain and surrounding area, or other California places with this name), making this article confusing as well as uninformative. Fails WP:GEOLAND and WP:GNG without further information.

Non-notable location. Little information found, although nondescript name makes it hard to find mentions that are unambiguously about this place. The cited sources (GNIS and a map) are sufficient for verifiability but not notability, and without further information this place fails WP:GEOLAND and WP:GNG. Satellite view just shows two houses along a river.

Non-notable location; no evidence this was anything more than a railroad waypoint, and not a "community". Not one mention in three histories of Ventura County: [4], [5], [6]. Satellite view just shows an industrial area on the outskirts of Ventura. Cited sources are not sufficient for notability; being in GNIS or being on a railroad line do not confer notability. Glaring failure of WP:GEOLAND and WP:GNG.
