Uttara University (Bengali: উত্তরা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) or UU is a private university at Uttara, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is situated in greater Uttara and is only 5 minutes from Uttara North Metro Rail Station.
UU, established in the year 2003 by Founder Sir M Azizur Rahman, offers 40+ programs at graduate and undergraduate levels. UU has 5 schools and 14 departments.
Uttara University is organized into five schools and fourteen departments. The university offers 40 programs in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. There are 35+ full time professors and every department has a mix of senior, mid-level and dynamic junior faculty members. In recent times, UU has been shortlisted for inclusion in ranking at international levels. UU is at the forefront for frequently organizing conference and seminars on contemporary topics and is visited by international researchers and publishes a large number of journals and indexed publications.
