I'm not sure what this article is about. Much of it is redundant with our article on brass, and should probably be merged into it. Part of it also comes across as original research. It might have been copypasted from a textbook, but I haven't been able to find the source. I have found the same material on a number of dubious sites (see [1]), but I don't really feel like putting my firewall and antivirus software to the test today.
