Beatty is only really notable for being Miss Utah, and this is not enough to establish notability. The coverage up until she won Miss Utah is all local coverage from St. George and southern Utah. The Deseret News article on her win makes about as much mention of other contestants. I did find an article from Today.com about her being at one point diagnosed as never being able to walk, but even if that is a reliable source (I don't know) it is not enough to suggest notability. Delete: This took a while to investigate because there are 20 references, the article is by far laid out better than many of the other like articles with far more content, appearing to satisfy notability requirements. However, in looking at the references, the majority being local coverage, there is still a problem with the subjects notability. Conclusion: With all the references Krissia Beatty won Miss Utah and did not place in the Miss America 2016 pageant. The majority of the references are a collection of news reports, primary sources (those that are not dead links), and are predominantly related to the single event of Miss Utah that is just not enough for article inclusion. Comment It is easy to find more sources, I clicked on one article and found:
"Beatty received a celebratory send-off in St. George Aug. 22...in the Gardner Center Ballroom on the DSU campus."
Comment The suggested added source is another local, southern-Utah source that is a reaction to the one win. We either need coverage far outside of her local area or extended coverage over more time to justify having this article.John Pack Lambert (talk) 18:44, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The nomination says that it doesn't know if [1] from today.com is a reliable source. A Wikipedia search for "today.com" shows that the term is a redirect to Today (U.S. TV program), which says:

It was the first of its genre on American television and in the world, and is the fifth-longest-running American television series. Then why the "delete" in bold, when you've made an argument to merge? Delete as we've amounted a considerable amount of these AfDs closed as Delete simply because all there is, is participation in those pageants which is not inherited independent notability thus delete. SwisterTwistertalk18:54, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
