Keep. The WP:SCHOOLS page is a proposed policy that was never adopted, thus not relevant to an AfD nomination. Tatonka has made a number of nominations for schools to be deleted, apparently (to me) with little regard for the specifics of the school in question, and under some misconceptions about WP policies and guidelines. I oppose deletion, without having looked too deeply into this article; I am open to changing my position if someone can make a more compelling case for deletion. -Pete23:06, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. Article could use editing to remove trivial material, but school itself is notable for its academics, athletics, and numerous famous alumni. --Sprkee23:18, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Keep for reasons given by Sprkee. Many high schools will be notable, and in any version of that guideline, this would probably be notable. Does need sources, but it seems they would be found, given the alumni and the athletics. Sourceable is the criterion, not sourced. Some of those alumni have very impressive careers, but "Notable alumni" without a WP article should be removed.
Keep per Pete and Sprkee as the article contains pretty interesting and detaild info about the history and other stuff about the school. However, I would suggest the editors to add some references in order to improve the quality.--JForget23:44, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Keep multiple notable alumni constitutes a strong claim of notability. Article will benefit from improved sourcing. Alansohn01:51, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. I'm not a strong supporter of giving every high school a Wikipedia article, but this article is decent enough to remain. I can even think of one famous alumna who isn't mentioned in the article. --Metropolitan9007:01, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. Even if there was nothing else to write, the navigational value of the alumni list would be a good enough reason to have an article. --fullcourt 20:09, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
