Comment. On what grounds are you proposing deletion? I42 (talk) 21:10, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - I can't speak for Enigmaman, but a Google search under this name ("Maliar") (search URL) turns up a grand-total of zero hits related to this supposed tribe. Maybe they go by a different name? AKRadeckiSpeaketh 23:23, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. To answer I42, "nonsense" was the grounds used in the prod. I have removed some copyright violations of this book (though I'm not sure if that book is eligible for copyright). The article is not nonsense, however, some serious cleanup is required. ~a (user • talk • contribs) 23:44, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Keep Actually there are 362 entires on google, mostly on South Asian discussion groups. They have in the past been linked with the Arain of central Punjab, a link the latter deny. All the books, barring Inyatullah's are copyright free, as they were published in the early 20th Century. There is some work on them in Urdu, not sure if we can quote Urdu sources. I have editted and refrenced several other tribal entries, many of which gave no sources, were poorly written, provided little context, but were not nominated for deletion.—Preceding unsigned comment added by WALTHAM2 (talk • contribs) 09:57, 26 March 2009
Speedy keep. Nothing remotely resembling a valid reason for deletion has been provided, so it's impossible to have a sensible discussion. The nominator has simply said that it was a contested prod, and that prod only contained the word "nonsense", and another editor above makes the incredible claim to have checked 271,000 Google search results and determinied that none of them are about the article subject. Definite keep Google search for Maliar Tribe [1] returns enough hits to see they're notable enough. The article needs cleanup, sure, but it's clearly not nonsense Dylanfromthenorth (talk) 01:35, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
