• Keep and fix. It's hard to source the older Oricon charts online because their site only gives data from post-1988, but I believe she had at least two albums that charted in the top 10 nationally in the early 1980s. If anyone has access to Oricon Album Chart Book: Complete Edition 1970-2005 (ISBN 4-87131-077-9), that would give the Oricon rankings, or maybe someone knows a better way to prove this for AfD purposes. Jazz.co.jp claims that the rankings were #8 for Deja Vu and #5 for Magic ([2]) with sales over 200K. Anyway, the Oricon site verifies lower charting albums later in her career. Further, Deja Vu was also in the top 50 albums in sales for the year of 1983 ([3]) and she seems to have hit #1 in the USEN Western music chart in 1986 ("Left Alone" which was the theme song for the 1986 film Cabaret). She is significant enough to have had a greatest hits album released by Sony Japan in 2005 after having an earlier greatest hits released in 1988. The Japanese Wikipedia article is at ja:マリーン.
