The subject is a sub-provincial (city) politician in Indonesia. As such, he fails to satisfy WP:NPOL. No other notability is evident. WWGB (talk) 01:23, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose He deserves an article, notable or non notable, as I have created a non-notable article, so yeah Firejore (talk) 02:40, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Someone who is not notable NEVER "deserves an article". WWGB (talk) 02:47, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Non-notable articles fail WP:GNG and aren't included on Wikipedia, per policy. There's very little biographical information about him that Wikipedia has to offer. May he rest in peace.--Bettydaisies (talk) 02:46, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom and also per the comment by the editor claiming to have created the article creator comment. Ref (chew)(do) 02:55, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, per nom.Egeymi (talk) 09:47, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - unless you pass WP:NPOL or WP:GNG, preferably both, you don't warrant an article, unfortunately. Also worth noting WP:NOTMEMORIAL in cases like this. Regards to his family at this time. Spiderone 11:28, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- @Refsworldlee and Egeymi: FWIW, the oppose !vote is not from the page creator. Maybe you would want to rephrase your comments accordingly. And yeah, Delete, subject fails to meet WP:NPOL. And while WP is not a place for obituaries, still Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. –Austronesier (talk) 19:16, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- @Austronesier: The editor Firejore appears to think he did create it - or perhaps created a different non-notable article, who knows? I rephrase nothing for such a reason as his misguided commenting, as it still has relevance to the discussion here. Ref (chew)(do) 20:39, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- FWIW, thanks for rephrasing it anyway. –Austronesier (talk) 20:44, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom.--Ortizesp (talk) 22:41, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Tanjungpinang is not a global city for the purposes of securing the "inherent" notability of its local politicians under WP:NPOL #2, and the article is not referenced anywhere near well enough to make him a special case. Wikipedia is not about subjective personal opinions of what people "deserve": our job is to keep articles about people who objectively pass our notability criteria, and not keep articles about people who don't. Bearcat (talk) 21:19, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete no one "deserves an article". We create articles on people because they meet notability guidelines, not because they are deserving. A member of some city board is almost never notable. Absolutely nothing here suggests this person is even remotely notable.John Pack Lambert (talk) 21:21, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment Firejore is a confirmed sockpuppet of another account. The actual creator here may also be a sockpuppet. It is this massive creation of sockpuppets by some among other issues that leads me to advocate us going to a system where every new article must be put through the Articles for Creation process.John Pack Lambert (talk) 21:24, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
