• Comment — I would like to note that the article was moved to drafspace with a redirect by its creator, Mykanah at 04:46, 21 September 2018 (UTC). I have nominated Naresh Arora for speedy deletion under the WP:R2 criterion. I'd recommend that the draft be move protected (500/30), so that only an AfC reviewer can accept it. Further, I recommend this AfD be procedurally closed.[reply]

  • This should obviously be procedurally closed. The world would be a better place if most Wikipedians went through AfC (and if AfC could handle those submissions in a timely manner) but is there a policy reason that this should have to go through AfC? As far as I can tell there is no disclosed COI (nor has anyone asked about one) and the editor obviously has enough time/edits to be able to create in mainspace. Normally I would just close this myself given that it doesn't exist but since there's the ask for page protection I leave this comment instead.     @Barkeep49: I am afraid, no, to the best of my knowledge, there is no Wikipedia policy to force one into creating articles through AfC without community consensus. My suggestion was primarily born out of the fear that Mykanah would again move the article to mainspace and we'd all be here again discussing the notability of Naresh Arora (which at present is a coin toss for me), so, it'd be better if Mykanah were to be restricted to creating this (and only this) article through the AfC process and thereby being forced wait months-upon-months for a reviewer to review their article, as a punishment for disruptive editing /s.
