Found his article looking for sources of criticism of Jacqueline Keeler, who is a controversial figure in American Indian communities. Couldn't find independent sources for him, though I could be looking in the wrong places. HadesTTW (he/him • talk) 21:35, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Forgot to note that although the citations given are generally reliable and accurate, they mostly focus on who he interviewed and what he wrote for rather than what he did himself, which makes me inclined to believe he doesn't meet notability guidelines. Keep I’ve considered both Wikipedia:GNG and Wikipedia:JOURNALIST and he appears to be notable. He was a bureau chief for one news outlet sufficiently notable to be on WP, Indian Country Today. He was a senior editor for another outlet sufficiently notable to be on WP, Tribal Business News. He was apparently “the first Native American journalist to Q&A a sitting president, President Barack Obama, in an Oct. 4, 2012 news story titled, "President Obama Answers Questions From Indian Country Today Media Network in Unprecedented Exchange."” He has interviewed various notable persons. He has over 100 news hits in Google News. He’s been mentioned in books (https://www.google.com/search?q=%22Rob+Capriccioso%22&source=lnms&tbm=bks&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjsk7KS5PX9AhWakIkEHRWkBYUQ0pQJegQIBxAM&biw=1182&bih=714&dpr=2) and has a significant number of cites in Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=%22Rob+Capriccioso%22). He has been published in Smithsonian Magazine (https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smithsonian-institution/treaties-governed-us-indian-relationships-180952443/). Weak keep. I'm not enamored of the sources; there's a lot of unreliable source, a lot of non-independent sources, and a lot of passing mentions. this is the most detailed source I could find, but it's by his employer, and is not independent. However, I think there's a claim to meeting NJOURNALIST#1; he is cited surprisingly often in google scholar for a journalist, and based on some searches I'm fairly certain what's visible there is an undercount; he also appears to have been interviewed as a subject expert by NPR on several occasions.
