Agreed, no significant coverage of members that aren't already a part of existing groups. No singles or shows that have charted well. Trainees are essentially non-notable by definition - they haven't debuted. Unless they make some notable news outside their musical trainee status, they probably shouldn't be listed here.Evaders99 (talk) 20:18, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. This article might be alternatively used as a reference. Maybe at this point there is already no importance for the coverage of the current trainees listed, and the members who are now part of the groups Red Velvet and NCT occasionally references to their pre-debut activities as "SM Rookies." Merge to S.M. Entertainment. Though most of the information doesn't even belong here or the label article in the first place, but the group's or individual singer's articles. "Pre-debut" has become a pretty terrible neologism in K-pop beyond its dictionary definition and is really just a marketing ploy (Kard released several singles since 2016 and just "debuted" this past July? Suuure...). The trainee system is a peculiar scheme in South Korean and Japan that is worth noting, but anything beyond a simple list falls into an indiscriminate fan-factoid mess. ℯ xplicit 01:13, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
