Nominator(s): Holiday56 (talk) 15:12, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am nominating this for featured list because having done much work on the article, including starting a peer review and applying necessary changes, I believe it finally meets the criteria for becoming a featured list. Holiday56 (talk) 15:12, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think the tables and citations look really good and clean, not messy or hard to navigate around.
  • Thanks. Holiday56 (talk) 07:10, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I actually thought the picture was Jay-Z at first glance, is there a better one for Kanye?

  • I'd put the last sentence about Katy Perry's song before Watch The Throne, as he was featured on that song before the album came out. Just to be chronological with time.

  • Quite a lot of dab links which need to be fixed.

  • Refs should come after punctuation, currently ref 5 in the second para does not
  •  Done. Holiday56 (talk) 02:52, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "breaking the previous record set by West's previous album" not keen on the use of previous twice in this sentence, removing the first use of previous should solve the issue

  • You say he's a producer, does this discog include his productions?
  •  Done. Since a separate production discography already exists for West, I've removed "producer" in the opening. Holiday56 (talk) 14:04, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "30 million digital songs" digital downloads really, not digital songs..
  •  Done. Holiday56 (talk) 14:04, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "West has had six songs exceed 3 million in digital sales as of May 2012" maybe "As of May 2012, six of West's songs have exceeded three million digital downloads"?
  •  Done. Holiday56 (talk) 14:04, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "from the RIAA.[9][6]" better to have these numerical.
  •  Done. Holiday56 (talk) 14:04, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "peaked at number-one" no need for hyphen, because you're not being consistent, see earlier use of "at number two"...
  •  Done. Holiday56 (talk) 14:04, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "a total of " is this really necessary? Why not just "seven"?
  •  Done. Holiday56 (talk) 14:04, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Till the Casket Drops" thought that was just "Til"...
  •  Done. Holiday56 (talk) 14:04, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Refs - thought Allmusic was actually AllMusic.

  • Table captions should really be descriptive of the tables, not just the same each time.
    • Can you be specific on which table captions need to be more descriptive? I've seen captions similar to the ones being used in the Kanye West discography article right now in several other discographies I've seen, including some featured lists. Based on their use in featured lists, I just assumed that the captions were fine to use. I'd appreciate some suggestions. Holiday56 (talk) 14:04, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • Sure thing. Where you have "List of albums, with selected chart positions, sales figures and certifications" several times, I'd expect to see "... collaborative albums ..." and "... studio albums ..." etc so the captions are different and more descriptive for each table. The Rambling Man (talk) 15:50, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
        • Okay. Made some changes to the table captions for the albums section. Holiday56 (talk) 09:50, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
