* "The Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards took a liking to True Grit, nominating it in eleven categories, including Best Makeup". "Took a liking" doesn't sound very encyclopedic. Also, it's odd that you showcase Best Makeup over the others (considering it had better nominations at that particular award show, like Best Actor)
Tweaked the former. I noted the Best Make-up nom out of all the others because it was one of, if not the only, nom it received in that category. I thought it'd be better to highlight the more uncommon noms. I could change it if you want. Crystal Clear x3 05:14, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Ethan and Joel Coen's work on True Grit's screenplay scored them a nomination for the Writers Guild of America. However, they lost to Aaron Sorkin for The Social Network." Could probably be turned into one sentence

done

  • Formatting issue with ref 35

fixed

  • Wikilink The New York Times in refs

done

  • MSNBC is not italicized

done

  • Why do you only have some publishers wikilinked? (i.e. IMDb Inc versus Time Warner etc)

fixed

  • Dallas Observer is italicized

done

  • Ref 29 needs publisher

done

  • Ref 38 needs access date

done

  • I count 123 nominations, not 121

The article is almost ready for my support. One last question: Why do some refs lack publishers? (Namely Dallas Observer, Awards Daily, and STV) Ruby2010 comment! 14:37, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have corrected D.O. and STV, but am pretty sure Awards Daily is a self-publishing website. Crystal Clear x3 21:19, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just noticed the article is basically an orphan. Could you link it from a few other articles? Ruby2010 comment! 17:11, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think the Coen brothers are better known as such, rather than by their first names, perhaps stick with "directed by the Coen brothers" in the lead.

done

  • "previously released in 1969 with John Wayne." - it wasn't released with John Wayne, it featured John Wayne, this needs a bit of rewording.

done

  • "This version stars ..." -> "The 2010 version stars..." (you've lost the focus on which "version" you're talking about, hence the definitive wording).

done

  • "The movie was released by Paramount Pictures in the United States and Canada on December 22, 2010. True Grit grossed over USD $25.6 million ..." would merge, and remove ". True Grit grossed" and replace with "grossing".

done

  • "It has received honors in " -> "True Grist has..."

done

  • " their best youth accolade. " is this the title of the award? Should it be in capitals?
that is not the actual title of the award
  • "– giving Bridges his sixth nomination – ," would be better as "(giving Bridges his sixth nomination)"

done

  • " in the show's" - what show?

fixed

  • Why the para split when you talk about Steinfeld winning awards in both the end of para 2 and beginning of para 3? Not a natural breakpoint.

done

  • "True Grit won its only nomination from the Kansas City Film Critics Circle Awards," what do you mean? True Grit won plenty of noms, do you mean True Grit only received one nom from the KCFCC? Reword needed.
I've instead decided to just remove it all together
  • "than one dozen nominations" quaint, but perhaps just "more than ten nominations"

done

  • Ref 1 is missing "The" in the work field.

done

  • Ref 2 - who is the publisher, IMDB or Box Office Mojo?
IMDb Inc but BOM is not in italics because it is an online source
  • Ref 16 - en-dashes please.

done

  • Ref 18 - consistency with author name (last, first) please.
Stuart Folb is not the author. He is the publisher of the Dallas Observer
  • Refs 26, 27 - which is the work, which is the publisher?
Same as BOM
  • Ref 40 - Washington D.C. has periods.

done

Are you positive that this list is complete? ...that all accolodates that were received by this film are included in this list?--Cheetah (talk) 08:13, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've just looked over the movie's official website (where they have a section all about its reviews and noms/wins) and added two noms, both from the Motion Picture Sound Editors, that I missed. I now feel confident that I have included all of its noms/wins. Crystal Clear x3 09:04, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Support made a couple of minor changes, and I have a general question about the award/nom infobox but I'll ask it centrally. The Rambling Man (talk) 08:41, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
