Previous FLC failed from lack of input; now that the game is out, this has the complete lists for the latest game in the series. MASEM (t) 21:23, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • One dab link; check the toolbox.
  • "The series has been developed " More simply, "The series is developed "
  • "to recreate the console-based guitar controllers normally used with the game" I think "simulate" or "recreate the experience of" is more accurate than just "recreate".
  • "There are currently three titles in the series, Guitar Hero: On Tour, Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades, and Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits." "currently" is redundant, unless there are more On Tour games in the making.
  • "and another for other non-English-speaking European countries " Comma after here.
  • "European release, with seven songs in each being exclusive to the respective versions."-->European release; seven songs in each are exclusive to the respective versions.
  • "The full setlist features 28 songs and will all be based on master recordings."-->The setlist's 28 songs will all be based on master recordings.
  • "with nine exclusive track"-->with nine exclusive tracks
  • P.S. If you need information for reception etc. for the main On Tour article, email me, and I can send you some stuff I found in news databases. Dabomb87 (talk) 21:55, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Points above should be addressed, but I would appreciate any other review sources - this game is not hitting a lot on the normal gaming RS feeds. --MASEM (t) 22:38, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Would the Wisconsin State Journal be a good start? I could find more given time. Dabomb87 (talk) 22:42, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Support, all issues resolved. Dabomb87 (talk) 17:33, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lead
  • There are three titles in the series, Guitar Hero: On Tour, Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades, and Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits. - The comma before the titles of the games should be changed to a colon.
Setlist 1
  • Both setlists include 26 licensed tracks including five bonus tracks, with about 85% of them being master recordings. - The ref doesn't say 85%, where is this number coming from?
  • Twenty are exclusive to this version of Guitar Hero while the remaining six songs have been used in the series. - Instead of in the series, I think it would be better as throughout the series
  • What does NL mean in the table?
Setlist 2
  • The full setlist for the game is listed below. The setlists are different for the North American release, the UK release and the European release; seven songs in each are exclusive to the respective versions. - Semi colon should be a colon -->would also be better stated as ..for the North American, UK, and European releases
  • What does (encore) mean in the table?
  • There should be a note about the tracks that are N/A
  • There should be an explanation about the Bonus tracks in the prose.
Setlist 3
  • Like the previous game in the series, "On Tour: Decades", the set list is different for the North American, UK and European releases with nine exclusive tracks in each of the respective versions (the European release has four exclusive tracks that are the same as the UK version and three other tracks from Europe). -- The "On Tour: Decades" should instead be in italics and not under quotation marks, or not mentioning the name of the game will also suffice.
  • Why no year column?--Truco 503 03:41, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Dabs and external links check out fine.--Truco 503 03:43, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I will work on the year column shortly (it's not impossible and easy to add, just compliation of the data for that). Everything else should be addressed. The 85% number is "simple math" that would be allowable through WP:SYN; we know which tracks are masters and which aren't, so the rest is easy. NL was probably "netherlands" but I removed that since I wasn't sure (and this is en.wiki anyway). --MASEM (t) 04:01, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Cool cool, I understand now. Notify me when the other changes are complete.--Truco 503 16:59, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Years have been added. --MASEM (t) 13:42, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In Guitar Hero: On Tour and Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades, there are 5 songs in each tier in Career mode, and in each tier, there is an encore song, which is the 5th song played out of the 5 songs in the tier. The (encore) in the charts mean that the song is one of those encore songs. I'm not sure if (encore) is really needed there though. — RyanCross (talk) 07:42, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Resolved comments from MPJ-DK
  • Bear with me as I'm not the most seasoned reviewer but after been taken through the wringer of FLc reviews for some months now I think I got the hand of it and the criterias and it's time to give back.
  • Isn't it "the Guitar Hero series for the Nintendo DS portable console" and not "to"?
  • The lead contains no sources at all, which would be okay if it mainly contained information repeated later on, but practically none of the information is repeated, which means that there should be some sources on the lead.
  • I'm a bit confused by the three different table formats, one has "master recording" the others do not? the year, artist and song column are not the same width, nor are any other repeated column types. For instance while the "Master recording" column is missing in the next two lists they still have 6 columns and could easily be the same size.
  • in the lead text for the "Guitar Hero: On Tour setlist" table you mention 20 were exclusive and 6 were used through out - no indication of which were unique? No source on where this information comes from? And technically there are not 26 tracks but 31 all together (English version + 5 "International replacements").
  • No key for the table explaining what "Year" means, is that the original recording year? what if it's not a master cut is the year then something else? I have not reviewed lists of this type before so I don't know if it's standard to not have a key here?
  • What does "tier" mean in this context?
  • Should "Ça" sort as "Ca"??
  • The text does not mention why "JPN" is included in the "primarily English speaking" version?
  • It's not until "Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades setlist" that I realize that if "master recording = no" then it's a cover version, it would have been helpful to include in the section where it's actually relevant.
  • "The setlists are different for the North American, UK release and European releases"
  • N/A is not explained until the second list, yet used in the first?
  • Why is the third list differently formattet than the other two? First two use "N/A" and white when they're not in the version, while this useds yes/no and color indicators, it's not consistent.
  • I cannot find a source for the "European" and "UK/Australian" versions of the Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades setlist??
  • Same with the "Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits setlist", no sources for the European and UK versions.
  • On the lede, while its true none of the information is repeated, it's also the case little of the lead is filled with facts that I would consider disputed or otherwise explained in the actual series article. I could add references, but I don't be believe it necessary.
  • A general note on the tables - I did first fix the column widths to be consistent. That said, because of the three games have a different way of presenting the songs, the differences are unfortunatley obvious. Only the first game has master vs cover recordings (the other two are only master) so this column is only needed there. Decades has diffferent tiering for different region releases, but no master recordings, so it is better presented as it is. The Modern hits table is yet again different because now the tiering is gone (a song is either in the game or not) so the yes/no templates work best here, but that does lead to the color differences.
  • The "Ça" is how the song track is spelled (it's a French group, so...)
  • on some of the OR-iffy spots - these numbers are calculated simply by looking at the various lists. It is synthesis, but it is not a stretch from valid sourcing.
  • All other points should be addressed. --MASEM (t) 06:13, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
