Picture fails the non-free content criteria, as it is only used for illustration and doesn't enhance the understanding of the topic and article doesn't contain critical commentary about it. Sir Armbrust Talk to me Contribs 02:35, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned, I do not believe that the new logo qualifies as PD-shape. Sven Manguard Wha? 02:47, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No foreseeable use, these are not things that are typically illustrated in articles. Also, no source given for where the information came from or who made the image. Sven Manguard Wha? 09:39, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is not PD-shape, it is non-free. Currently not used in any articles, so would be deleted after seven days whether I changed the license or whether I listed it here. Sven Manguard Wha? 09:44, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As the free covers of the book, like File:The Moonstone.djvu are available, usage of non-free image is not fair use. Vssun (talk) 14:52, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unused. Source is Flickr [1], which states that the image is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.0 Generic license; the "non-commercial" and "no derivatives" parts of that license are not free enough for Wikipedia. Uploader claims that the author has given permission for this image to be used on Wikipedia, but "Wikipedia-only" permission is not free enough either. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. —Bkell (talk) 17:13, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unencyclopedic orphan image. Image had formerly illustrated the Tire article claiming to be a skid mark; but skid marks do not feature tread marks in the way shown in this image. As the image illustrates nothing in the real world, it's unencyclopedic and should be deleted. Comet Tuttle (talk) 18:15, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free book cover used to illustrate the article about the person whose photo is on the cover. I assume this person is the author, but the book itself is not the subject of sourced discussion in the article. See the examples of unacceptable use of non-free images, number 9, which says, "A magazine or book cover, to illustrate the article on the person whose photograph is on the cover. …" —Bkell (talk) 22:53, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
