Photo is of a 3D sculpture and has been uploaded as "own work" under ((cc-by-sa-2.5)). The photo itself is fine to claim as own work, but unless statue depicted in the photo probably should be assumed to be still under copyright protection unless it can be clearly shown otherwise. Freedom of paranoia exemptions are given in the US to buildings, etc., but not for artworks and sculptures, even those permanently installed in public places, according to c:COM:FOP#United States. This might make it necessary to treat the lion sculpture as non-free, which means that a valid non-free use rationale would need to be provided and a ((Non-free 3D art)) license added for the sculpture. The way the photo is currently being used in University Park Airport, however, seems pretty decorative and unlikely to satisfy WP:NFCC#8. Moreover, much better information about the copyright status of the statue itself would need to be provided as explained in WP:NFCC#10a. So, I suggest delete unless it can be clarified beyond doubt that the lion statue is old enough for public domain per ((PD-art-3d)) or some other type of free license. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:42, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
The result of the discussion was: Keep only on Houston Airport System Majora (talk) 20:45, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
Non-free logo being used in Houston Airport System, Ellington Airport (Texas), George Bush Intercontinental Airport, and William P. Hobby Airport. A non-free use rationale is provided for each use, but if the logo's design is too complex for ((PD-logo)), then only the non-free use in the article about the airport system seems WP:NFCC compliant. Each of the individual airports appear to be under the management of the Houston Airport System (a part of local city government), which means they could be considered child entities per No. 17 of WP:NFC#UUI. Logos specific to each airport could be used if they exist, but even if the do not then default is not automatic use of the parent entity logo per WP:NFCC#3. Moreover, the logo itself makes no mention of any of the individual airports so trying to claim it is needed for identification purpose even within the main infobox seems a bit of a stretch per WP:NFCC#8 and removing the logo would not be detrimental at all to the reader's understanding. Finally, there's nothing about this logo that cannot be expressed in text given the way it's currently being used in the airport articles which means it also probably doesn't satisfy WP:NFCC#1. Suggest keep for "Houston Airport System", but remove from the individual airport logos. Also, suggest renaming the logo per WP:FNC#3 since the name seems a bit misleading given the actual logo being depicted. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:50, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

The uploader is Jimmy Slippy, who claims he took the photo in 2014 and owns the copyright. However, the EXIF data shows this image was taken by Carey Sheffield in 2011, and that "THIS IMAGE IS COPYRIGHT PROTECTED". Unless Jimmy Slippy can supply evidence that he received permission to upload this photo under the claimed license, Sheffield's rights are being infringed upon. — ξxplicit 06:01, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
