Originally tagged as replaceable but the template was removed by the uploader.

The subject of the photo is a living person who appears in public frequently. The image here is not the subject of discussion and the use of the photo is not critical to understanding the topic. Fails WP:NFCC#8 and WP:NFCC#1. Ytoyoda (talk) 11:57, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The image objectively has no free equivalent. That it was noted as "replaceable" by a previous editor was done so erroneously. A quick google search of the subject and his work as a DJ turns up no alternatives, free or otherwise (which makes it meet WP:NFCC#1). Though he apparently appears in public often, he clearly does so as a filmmaker, making the image used now rare and uncommon. The image is instrumental in illustrating his former (though significant) work in music, which he is not primarily or currently known for, making it contextually significant (as on other public figures' articles that illustrate them in endeavors they are not primarily known for, see Idris Elba's DJing, Elijah Wood's DJing, etc.). This makes the image in compliance with WP:NFCC#8. All other criteria are met by the images low resolution, minimal usage, etc. Sixtwosix (talk) 12:21, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You don’t need an image of him spinning records to show that he is a DJ because we have text sources that convey that information, so it fails NFCC#1. Keep in mind that replaceability isn’t limited to pictures—free text can adequately replace unfree images.
Also, there’s no discussion about the image itself—the photograph is being used to illustrate information that is in the text, so it fails NFCC#8. Contextual significance means that the sourced text is talking about the picture, not that the picture is showing something the text is describing.
This is a clear cut case of an invalid non-free content use. Ytoyoda (talk) 16:42, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File from Flickr that was licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0 over there. As far as I can tell this is a scan or photograph of a copyrighted art and is hence non-free content. Not sure what the appropriate course of action would be but I can't say it meets the eighth criterion of the NFCCP criteria IMO. Hiàn (talk) 20:58, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
