Because the badge is US Navy artwork, it cannot be non-free image. Vitaium (talk) 07:24, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

A de-PRODded image of a victim still isn't contextually significant to his murderer John Martin Scripps. (Honestly, image being de-PRODded by the uploader makes me wonder how many more uploader's files I can take to FFD.) George Ho (talk) 07:58, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

General Maharashtra Premier League being used for the article of a specific season, which violates WP:GETTY point 14. Possibly this logo could be used on the Maharashtra Premier League article if a valid non-free usage is determined, but it definitely cannot be used on the 2023 season article. This is somewhat of a tricky case. There is nothing to back up the 1921 dating of this image, and since Leslie apparently played from 1921-34, it may well be young enough to be copyrighted in the US, regardless of the issue of anonymous publication that would be required for lapsed UK copyright. In any case, it could be eligible for non-free use at Jack Leslie. Felix QW (talk) 18:50, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

The license is unconvincing, as the author is in fact given as "unknown", and there is no likely way in which image could be PD in the US given the URAA. Could be eligible for non-free use at Jack Barker. Felix QW (talk) 19:10, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

No indication given for why this should be PD in the UK or US; not in use. May be old enough for its crown copyright to have expired, but I haven't been able to find a decent source for this image, which has been on Wikipedia for 17 years. Felix QW (talk) 19:58, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

US Copyright will have been restored by the URAA, so not in the US public domain until 2029. Felix QW (talk) 20:00, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

US copyright in this image will have been resurrected by the URAA and lasts until 2025. Since the image currently at Leslie Todd (hosted on Commons) is in exactly the same situation, I have filed a deletion request there too. One of them could presumably be kept here as non-free until 2025 or until a slightly earlier image emerges. Felix QW (talk) 20:23, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

US copyright will have been restored in 1996 by the URAA, so it is still in copyright until January 1, 2025. Felix QW (talk) 21:21, 21 June 2023 (UTC)

US copyright will have been restored by the URAA in 1996, so this image will still be in copyright in the US until 2035. Unused. Felix QW (talk) 21:23, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
