Draft:Regional at best

- Draft:Regional at best (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
After three separate AfDs for this album, a deletion review for the third, and the primary title page being a locked redirect, I don't see the point in trying again on this with another miscapitalized title, no sourcing, and no more prospects for notability for this subject than there were at any point in the last six years. And yes, of course I recognize that this was created by a new editor who has made no other contributions so far and who likely has no idea about any of this history, but I don't think that should affect the subject's status. - Delete and salt. In fact salt any variation on this title preemptively so this doesn’t turn into the next WP:BFDI Dronebogus (talk) 15:57, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- I support mass-salting as well. Given the history of this subject, it would make sense to just be done with it and save ourselves even more trouble in the future. QuietHere (talk) 18:53, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. It is a draft, drafts are allowed to be on shaky ground. That IS the point, actually, isn't it? The fact that it gets recreated, and even by apparently new users unaware of past creations, is a sign that somewhere this album is talked about, so maybe, juuust maybe it is notable. Also, if a band has six albuns, five of them notable enough (at the moment all five have WP articles), again maybe the second one is notable too. Yes, I looked at the previous AFDs, they are all close calls, so consensus can change. - Nabla (talk) 19:43, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- I understand where this comes from but the problem of a lack of coverage has persisted. Just because other albums exist which have proven their notability doesn't guarantee anything here. Until that coverage comes forth (and given it still hasn't so far I doubt it ever will) we can't just leave a page up and hope, even if it is a draft. It's wasting everyone's time. Salting will make sure these unaware new editors don't waste theirs too. QuietHere (talk) 22:09, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete and salt per nom and Dronebogus. — Sundostund mppria (talk / contribs) 20:02, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete: also add this to the WP:TBL as this is just going to get worse. Aasim - Herrscher of Wikis ❄️ 23:15, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete with silver nitrate. "Not again!" This is a zombie page title. If the proponents really want to list this album, which has a cult following, then they should present a case at Deletion Review rather than trying to game the name by changing the capitalization. - You really should stop sending people in the direction of DRV. Send them instead to WP:THREE. SmokeyJoe (talk) 11:57, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- WP:THREE explains a reasonable criterion for establishing notability. It isn't about desalinization. If a title has been salted, is there a Salt Removal Board? Robert McClenon (talk) 18:29, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- @Robert McClenon that silver nitrate page doesn't appear to say anything beyond some random facts about the actual chemical substance. Is that supposed to be a salt vote? And why does that page exist anyway? QuietHere (talk) 15:24, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete and salt per other proponents of deleting and salting. —Alalch E. 19:36, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - There are a few subjects, including certain albums, certain actresses, and certain web sites, that are probably notable, but that will never have Wikipedia articles, because the efforts made by their fans to game the system are too obvious and too disruptive. This is an example, as is the Battle for Dream Island. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:29, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
