Wikipedia:WikiProject Linkin Park[edit]

Project started in 2007 that never got going. No real discussions. --Kleinzach 23:34, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • The consensus at the Music project has been that we should encourage the genre projects (jazz, rock, metal, classical etc.) and discourage projects dedicated to individual artists/bands - unless they can genuinely sustain the interest of groups of editors. When I checked in November, we had 143 music projects of which only about 30 were active. Since then we have been attempting a clearout to make the project organization more accessible, both for new and old editors. (P.S. The objectives for WP:LP are explained on the project page.) --Kleinzach 05:42, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • That makes absolutely no sense at all. How is it more accessible? People are more likely to focus on musicians they like, and fixing those articles, instead of someone they don't know or care about. Deleting these projects won't make other projects become more active. Dream Focus 11:25, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
