Pokemon related WP:FANCRUFT that isn't mentioned in the article. I didn't see any obvious retargets even though there are a few ships that have the name "Anne (Surname)". I think the search engine is the best bet here. -- Tavix (talk) 14:46, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well, both of those are already redlinks. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 19:01, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Aide mémoire (dictionary definition)

The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 14:11, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is a bizarre soft redirect to Wiktionary. Aide-mémoire has a ((wiktionary)) box and also discusses the "general term" slightly at the bottom of that page. It also has a hatnote which takes someone to Aide mémoire (dictionary definition), but that is just a soft redirect. Aide mémoire (dictionary definition) isn't needed at all and should be deleted. The other possibility here, retargeting, doesn't make sense to me per WP:NOTDIC. I feel that "(dictionary definition)" wouldn't be a plausible search term (they could use a dictionary/wiktionary for that). -- Tavix (talk) 14:41, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, the ((wiktionary)) box already points to the right place. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 14:59, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. The discussion demonstrated that, while the definition of the emoji is literally "signal strength", the page mobile signal gives the best description in the context of this emoji. Deryck C. 11:01, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think this represents signal strength. Adam9007 (talk) 03:22, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think this might represent the O mark, rather than just a circle. Adam9007 (talk) 03:16, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On my Windows PC it is a square.--69.157.254.210 (talk) 05:08, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That's because you're missing the correct font to display it, and your computer/browser defaults to displaying a square. -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 05:56, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There's an entry for it on Japanese Wiktionary wikt:ja:⭕ gTranslate[3][4] -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 05:56, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to hot pot. (non-admin closure) -- Tavix (talk) 20:29, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure this represents Nabemono specifically, and this was previously targeted to Food. The Windows version looks more like a fruit bowl (or perhaps a pot of stew) to me. Adam9007 (talk) 02:38, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Some versions merely represent a parcel through the post (in fact, even the Windows version looks like an ordinary parcel to me, though I understand why someone thought it looks like a present). I suggest a retarget to Parcel (package). The only one that looks like a present is the EmojiSymbols version. Adam9007 (talk) 02:09, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was no consensus, default to keep. It seems that we disagree whether this symbol refers specifically to the hot-spring symbol in Japanese culture, or a general pot of hot water. Deryck C. 22:26, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This was originally a redirect to Hot spring, and I think it should be retargeted back there as this symbol seems to represent hot springs in general, rather than specifically Onsen. Adam9007 (talk) 00:45, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Using your example above, we would not redirect anime to a generic article on animation. I have to assume there's a reason to have an encyclopedic distinction between onsen and generic hot springs, otherwise we would have merged the pages. Since the symbol refers to onsen (or to any hot spring but in a Japanese context) then it should go to the more specific article. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 19:07, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. There's just about a majority for deletion, and the remaining opinions are split between two possibilities. So I think deletion is the best outcome. Deryck C. 11:04, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You do not have the proper fonts installed. Some computers/programs will display a square when it can't display the character. -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 06:16, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
