• Compact_space#Introduction: first five lines should give the answer regarding "compact".
• One of the properties of Countably compact space should tell you the rest.

merriam-webster.com gives the IPA transliteraration of "Tietze's" as \ˈtēt-səz-\ and has a sound file - I can't tell you if it works because some ne'er-do-well has borrowed my speakers and not returned them.
