Nomination[edit]

Nrwairport (talk · contribs) – Nrwairport (talk) 22:19, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Even though I'm nominating myself, that should not be an indication to everyone that others oppose me being an admin. I've been editing on Wikipedia for quite some time now (over 6 years if my old account which is now inoperable counts). I'm a professional aviation specialist, and spend most of my time on Wikipedia editing WP:AVIATION. I have also adapted quite well to Wikicode. I think I would make a great candidate for adminship because I am all about driving away vandalism. The aviation articles on Wikipedia are commonly vandalized (like most other subjects/portals), and I think with me being an admin, Wikipedia will be a more reliable source of information.

Questions for the candidate[edit]

Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. Please answer these questions to provide guidance for participants:

1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
A: Where to begin? I am an experienced new page reviewer and a recent changes reviewer. I am well aware with about all Wikipedia polices, so I know what to look for when fighting vandalism.
2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
A: My best contributions to Wikipedia are editing and cleaning up aviation pages. I also have fought vandalism.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A: No, I stand up very well do users who vandalize and to not tolerate their behavior at all. I have dealt with it by leaving messages on their talk pages outlining Wikipedia policies, and report them if necessary.

Support[edit]

Oppose[edit]
  1. This user has not contributed to Wikipedia for at least a year, and his edits are to remove content this editor doesn't agree with. The editor could at least be mentored by a veteran editor to learn and become familiar with the wiki-community before becoming an admin. (Regushee (talk) 22:46, 16 August 2015 (UTC))[reply]
  2. Oppose This user has only made about 700 edits. That's way too early to start an RfA. I know you said you had an account before, but you need to show us that account. And how can you prove that was yours? Datbubblegumdoetalkcontribs 23:05, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  3. Oppose Only ~700 edits to Wikipedia and has been around for only two months. Please stick around for at least another year, make more edits, get to know the community better, and in short, be sure to settle in and set your roots firmly into the soil before applying for the mop. Good luck! --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 23:27, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  4. Oppose It's not just a question of having so few edits. A look at the comments on your talk page (some of which you have deleted) shows you that you do not really understand tagging articles, warning notices, and other basics. Please read those comments and advice, and take them to heart. I'm sure you can become a productive editor here, but you need to take some time and learn the ropes. --MelanieN (talk) 23:46, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  5. Oppose: You claimed that you were an admin on your userpage for one minute, and you also claim that you have over 500,000 or 50,000 edits, while making amateur mistakes (see user talk page). This shows a complete lack of basic honesty. WP:NOTHERE. Esquivalience t 23:50, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  6. Sympathetic oppose as we're all genuinely urging you to edit more and familiarize yourself with editing and your edits haven't allowed us to get to know you better. There are several areas such as WP:AFC, WP:AFD and even simply searching for random articles to improve. I strongly suggest closing this as withdrawn and, if you need help, feel free to ask any of us. SwisterTwister talk 06:59, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  7. I'm afraid I'll have to oppose per WP:NOTHERE as I suspect dishonesty and WP:NOTNOW for only 700 edits. If possible, please show me your previous account(s), or otherwise I am skeptical that you might have something to hide. Racer-Ωmegα 07:41, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Neutral[edit]
  1. Neutral because I don't want to pile on, but I feel this this is too soon. I suggest the candidate withdraws this RfA. Jianhui67 TC 07:48, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
