Suspected sockpuppets

User created the Timeline of MSL Curiosity mission article [1] after deletion (via afd) of the MSL Curiosity rover mission on Mars - Day 1 - 6 August 2012 article. Behavior is characterized by inclusion of a single topic into the Curiosity rover article, with content reversions without edit summaries, inclusion of material without edit summaries, ignoring all requests from other editors, and absolutely zero communication with any other editors, despite repeated requests: [2],[3],[4], [5]. Further removal of content with no edit summary: [6], [7], [8], [9]. Time between inclusion of identical 655 character content is 1 minute by User Havebased123 and IP 77.255.104.53: [10]. Time between edits of user Havebased123 and IP 178.37.93.130 is 7 minutes here: [11], and 6 minutes here [12]. Removal of wikify template by user Havebased123 and IP 77.254.152.80 within 90 minutes, after intervention by another editor: [13]. There is persistent moving of the stub template from the bottom of the article to the top, despite warnings: Havebased123: [14], IP 77.255.99.34: [15]. Finally, there was a typical blanking of sockpuppet warnings and other warning templates: [16] and [17] and [18]. It is quite possible this is a NASA or JPL employee, who is familiar enough with Wikipedia policies, that they are evading being blocked by switching between accounts. The information is welcome, but ignoring all community guidelines, by abuse of multiple IPs, despite repeated warnings should not go unchecked. Also, the compare user report function does not seem to be working. Did I install something incorrectly during the creation of the SPI case? OliverTwisted (Talk) (Stuff) 03:12, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Question for commenting admin. If a user edits under an account name, reverts information without explanation or edit summaries multiple times, is warned by multiple users about 3RR and EDSUM, and then logs out to continue the same editing pattern, would this not also be evading a block? I don't mean to be difficult, just need clarification. Thanks! Also, any idea what I did wrong to make the compare user report not work on this? It's always worked before. • information Administrator note Even if these IPs were shown to be the same person, this isn't sockpuppetry. The account has a clear block log so wasn't evading a block by logging out, and I don't see that the IPs were an attempt to pretend to be multiple editors. I will say that the IPs all resolve to Krakow, Poland with the same IP so they are likely the same person, whether or not that person is Havebased123 or not. Since no sockpuppetry is being alleged here by behavior and CU won't link IPs to an account I'm requesting closure. -- Atama 22:51, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
