Suspected sockpuppets

[edit]

Here are some behavioral similarities I noticed among these accounts:

  1. Spam links
  2. Other promotional editing, including probably paid editing
  3. Creating Talk pages with the standard template
  4. Creating userpages with the standard template, although less frequently
  5. Creating redirects to existing articles

The puppets are listed below in my findings. Bbb23 (talk) 19:54, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the check. I'm ticking the users once I've checked their contribs to remove spam. I'm leaving the redirects for now, as I suspect that they will return. Here are articles that might be expanded:

I've dealt with everything for now, so it's good to close. SmartSE (talk) 15:00, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Futstore recreated and expanded Paul Guerra that was created as a redirect by the previous group. Some of the

Paul Guerra (actor) was created just after the previous SPI by Elathee who was blocked as a sock of OfficialPankajPatidar. 216.212.233.32 which appears to be a proxy appeared in January by copy and paste moved the (actor) article to Paul Guerra. Note that just before the article was recreated today at (Actor) Paulgrra (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser(log· investigate · cuwiki) got in touch with me claiming to be the article subject. They are probably telling the truth but who knows. If they are telling the truth the evidence for Futstore being a sock is even greater, since they said that they only noticed the article had been deleted today (so presumably then got in touch with the master). The various tactics used to try and evade NPP make this pretty DUCKish, but given the number of socks turned up previously it seems sensible to see if CU can find other accounts. Recreation of Paul Guerra for the umpteenth time. See the most recent case in the archives. Note that the most recent socks weren't related to HemantDas34 though. SmartSE (talk) 09:33, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the combined technical and behavioral evidence, I've decided to block. Tagged and closing.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:00, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
