Evidence submitted by Diannaa

The IP vandalised my talk page with a gigantic "test test test" edit (can't post diff: too big) shortly after I reverted his removal of sock puppet templates for Hypocritepedia2 through 5 while on recent changes patrol last night. The IP edited the talk pages of Yourmombot and Assbot whilst on his socking and vandalism spree last night. The talk pages of Yourmombot, Assbot, and Zim2007 (can't post diff: too big) were all edited by their users within 20 minutes of each other earlier in the day. There is another nest of socks under Zim2007. Diannaa (Talk) 15:25, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A return of one of the older sockmasters here, Hypocritepedia/Zimmbotkiller was blocked back in 2010 after a long period with many socks and IP's adding incorrect or enthusiast info to television station and network articles, along with a WP:IDHT attitude towards any of the articles they WP:OWNed dealing with topics in their area of North Dakota. Still on a Daktel IP, they're adding inconsequential information about west coast feeds on certain Midcontinent Communications systems to network articles with unsourced names, along with this unsourced edit on one of their constant targets, North American television frequencies, along with editing the Craig Cobb page with the inappropriate and foul-mouthed edit summaries they've had in the past. Another day, another return of this editor who continues to 'hack Wiki' rather unsuccessfully while calling those reverting their edits facists and cyberbullies. Second IP range is for recording only as it got a year block for their editing last week and this silly YouTube video outright telling them how they kept grabbing IP's. First IP got a 72h while I was writing this up, so once that block ends use this for reference if they decide to come back. Nate (chatter) 01:01, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the user admitted in one of their edits that they're wardriving public wifi spots like #1 to continue to edit now that their home IP is blocked, so consider collateral damage against the innocent editors in this vandal's area. Nate (chatter) 05:11, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty obvious, except this time they've finally sadly figured out the whole 'wireless hotspot-hopping' vandalism trick with a Verizon card/phone rather than sticking to Daktel or Midcon IP's like they've done in the past. Leaving the usual 'look ZOMG Wikipedia is censoring everything left-wing conspiracy' nonsense on usertalk pages they've spiraled into in the last few years. One of the links seems to give out their real name, which I won't detail further per WP:OUTING. Nate (chatter) 08:58, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

They must've finally unplugged their Daktel modem enough because they made a return last night under a new IP, this time under the '194' node rather than the '195' that was rangeblocked. Same old behavior, adding obvious (and sometimes, incorrect) information about cable network timeshift feeds to articles, and the usual 'well I checked Google Maps traffic so it's true' edits to Speed limits in the United States by jurisdiction. Nate (chatter) 14:47, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ETA New report; back on the '195' node playing with the SPI, and this inappropriate categorization. Nate (chatter) 02:58, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Right back at it on their favorites Speed limits in the United States by jurisdiction and two more on cable theft; had a feeling on their first but AGF'ed before I saw the speed limit edit. It's a Verizon Wireless IP so block will do little but catalog they know the semi-protects are gone. Nate (chatter) 03:51, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Return of Hypo's "Zimmerman"-prefixed string of socks dealing with North Dakota media/telecom topics and attacks on right-wing topics and personalities, including an inappropriate pagemove for Timothy McVeigh and a "middle name makes them look more odious" attempt to pagemove Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and yet another edit on Craig Cobb, plus a bonus 'Trump is a facist' categorization. On McVeigh and Tsarnaev, also attempted new page creations with inappropriate names that were G10ed on sight. If they even have an WP:SO extended this should show they don't deserve to return. User:DeltaQuad/SPI/Clerk Training Notice

  • @Mrschimpf: So, where is that "Zimmerman"-prefixed string of socks? I don't see a single evidence connecting Zimm2 to any other user. And, by "evidence", I mean WP:diffs. Vanjagenije (talk) 09:17, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Mrschimpf: I appreciate that you know what you're talking about but we can't block this user or endorse CU without some actual evidence linking this account to other accounts. Looking back through the accounts in the SPI archive I still can't see any diffs which are similar enough to this account's edits to endorse a CU nor to block as a duck. Sam Walton (talk) 15:36, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree with Sam in full here. Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 19:49, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Behavioural evidence needs evaluation for connections:

  • First four tagged. DeltaQuad, could you clarify whether there is any CU evidence linking the last two to each other and/or the other accounts? I assume requires behaviour analysis because the accounts are  Likely? Sam Walton (talk) 23:54, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Nevermind, blocked based on behavioural evidence. Sam Walton (talk) 23:57, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Samwalton9 and L235: Zimm2? Also Sam, if you see the behavior, I'd rather not dive into technical evidence, as it's not something that's concrete. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 05:01, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

IP from user's common ISP Daktel sent a password reset request to my email this morning. A nigh ineffective way to hijack my account, but is harassing and a nuisance. Mainly advisory to the report as IP has made no edits to en.wiki in any form. Nate (chatter) 21:03, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind never having activity on en.wiki; another vandal entry to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, a PA on Criticism of Facebook, and this to my talk page. Nate (chatter) 08:17, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Second report on Drdaviddukesucks is report-only; already blocked as an IU. Nate (chatter) 22:11, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This one has been a more subtle and quiet form of socking than Hypo's traditional 'Donald Trump is a so-and-so (expletive)' along with mainly staying away from the Tsarnaev brother articles, but signs point to their usual destinations of attacking right-wing figures and North Dakota media and road articles;

Obviously they're using this softer-toned account in order to test their new way of getting on here as their previous Daktel range was blocked until May 2019, so a CheckUser is highly asked for. Any other questions please ping me. Nate (chatter) 21:37, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty much report-only at this point as it's a wireless IP and ten hours have past; hit all of Hypo's favorite article targets, including Cable television piracy, Metal theft (suicide of course has nothing to do with metal theft), and Craig Cobb (will be oversighted shortly; personal info revealed). Adding several users that had "sucks" in their usernames attacking NeilN, MarnetteD, Widr, Ponyo, Sro23, and Clpo13. All were reported to UAA and were created at about the same time. Could all be related. —MRD2014 T C 02:56, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I just added another batch of "X sucks" usernames. I think that's everyone but I might have missed a few. Sro23 (talk) 11:27, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And now we have a "F***you(username)" strain seeming to start; I get to lead off, of course (apologies to all of you who have to deal with all this). CU advised, but I'm pretty sure this is "turning off/on" of their Verizon hotspot again. Nate (chatter) 23:13, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(Note due to past history of off-wiki harassment against me I am not leaving them a notice on their page). Behavior/topic area match; this edit on Tumblr re-establishes their need to mention terrorism everywhere on the wiki without sources, along with this edit to WannaCry ransomware attack. All edits are confined to those type of topics and television in eastern North Dakota. Suspecting they're using a slow-crawl of good edits to re-establish themselves before returning to their usual WP:BATTLEGROUND mentality regarding right-wing figures. My antennae went up regarding a pagemove from Daktel to Dakota Central (their ISP), as they have edit-warred in the past to retain their 'good' version. The username mentioning the Brett Kavanaugh testimony line also raises WP:UAA issues. Nate (chatter) 00:39, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rangeblock just ended, and their first edit was their usual MO of anti-semetic refuse against extreme right/left-wing figures and general spam, along with clogging up templates. There shouldn't be any need for the 69.178.192.0/22 range to be editing in the next couple years, so I ask for the rangeblock to be restored anew. Nate (chatter) 23:59, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Long-term disruption from this IP range, including personal off-wiki harassment against me in the past. The block expired naturally at the start of 2023, but the vandal immediately resumed their repulsively contentious and anti-Semitic edits in a number of controversial topics, including several rev-del'ed edits since the last rangeblock expired and many hits on the filter logs. @Materialscientist: and @ScottishFinnishRadish: doled out several one-IP blocks on 69.178.192.23 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) and 69.178.192.245 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log), but they count on having a small phone cooperative, Dakota Central, automatically doling out new IPs at their mercy and not having the staff to handle abuse reports (not blaming Daktel here, who have been victims of their campaign themselves for years). As the range has been blocked before and the IP blocks added new time, I'm asking for the reviewer to go beyond the usual three years because of their full refusal to be NOTHERE (thankfully their worst attacks against me are pointless rants on anti-Wiki forums). Also pinging @Bbb23:, who is the last active admin who blocked the range. Several other current edits are PAs and need to be oversighted; I also refuse to notify the IP of this report to prevent further harassment. Nate (chatter) 01:58, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
