Plucas58 was indefinitely blocked by @MER-C: on the 8th October for problems with copyright infringement. 3 days later on the 11th October new account Rouletteer was created.

A look at the user's contributions here and on wikidata will show a significant overlap in areas of interest - i.e 18th and 19th century paintings and artists.

Rouletteer's 5th edit here was to create an article complete with citations, info boxes, image and external links, with no formatting issues or errors, suggesting they are not a new user.

There is significant editing overlap in the area of 100 Great Paintings, plucas's project before being blocked was to create articles for all of the paintings in the list, something that rouleteer has continued. - a look at the page history for the 100 great paintings article will show that it was being actively edited by Plucas up to their block, at which point the article was heavily edited by Rouleteer. Rouleteer has also begun creating articles for the paintings that do not currently have them, e.g. [1], [2] and [3], something Plucas was doing before their block [4] [5] [6].

finally Rouletteer edited Plucas' user page to add a note that they had been indefinitely blocked, which seems like a rather odd edit for a new user to make.
