For quite a while there seems to be a campaign to promote French institutions cross-wiki. So I decided to AfD one of the articles as cross-wiki promo: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Genopole. Most of those edits are coming from just two IP-ranges: 2a01:c000::/19 and 92.184.116.0 - 92.184.117.255. The IPs are highly flexible and are not making more then a few edits before being abandoned. That makes it very difficult to pinpoint a master. But the came these two edits « The Banner » and « ip ». In my opinion a rather non-standard way to refer to other editors but now used by an account and an IP. The Banner talk 11:28, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
Additionally: Wikipedia:WikiProject Spam/LinkReports/people.orange.fr and blocked for IP-socking. The Banner talk 11:36, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
Please note that the IPs have already are out of content related argument and are now making personal attacks to disrupt the AfD: 92.184.107.70, 92.184.106.35, 92.184.116.233, 2A01:CB09:D033:B009:FD83:808E:1B28:F6B7, claiming that i should stop having fun, 92.184.107.70, claiming that i should stop having fun and 2A01:CB01:3049:1832:DDB1:10B3:1ECB:958. All in all, it looks like a concerted campaign by the IPs to make the AfD unpleasant for others. The Banner talk 13:36, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
To answer de question of the clerk: I have the idea that the two IP-ranges and some accounts are working hard on cross-wiki promo for French institutes, possible in a paid capacity. The Banner talk 09:24, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
