Today, May 29 2009, I looked at the article on Tom Shakespeare and saw it is under the auspices of a Wiki group for the North-East England. However, I would have thought that the subject of Disability would be a more fitting project group for this article. There are probably a lot of articles on this topic, covering both physical visible disabilities and "unseen disabilities" such as epilepsy, diabetes mellitus, autism, asthma, dyslexia or learning disabilities. Indeed, if you go to the talk page at Disability, you can see that there is already a Wikipedian wanting a project on this subject. The article on disability is currently under the auspices of a project group on human rights, but a topic as wide as this surely merits its own project group. There are many articles in Wikipedia, other than those on specific disablities, which could be watched by this group.For example,those with legal expertise may keep close eyes on articles relating to disability rights acts, while those with expertise on technology to help the disabled could look at articles on specific technologies (such as wheelchairs) to help the disabled. I think that this project group could have a future, and a first task could be to consider what articles should go in its watchlist. Next, importance ratings could be attached to various articles.
