This is a summary of recent technology and site configuration changes that affect the English Wikipedia. Note that not all changes described here are necessarily live as of press time; the English Wikipedia is currently running version 1.42.0-wmf.26 (8f44039), and changes to the software with a version number higher than that will not yet be active. Configuration changes and changes to interface messages, however, become active immediately.

Fixed bugs

New features

• The <title> of the API help page is now different from the title of an API results page. (r26933, bug 11721)
• An API query for the user list now accepts 'registration' as a possible piece of information to return. (r26953, bug 11562)

Configuration changes

• $wgNoticeScroll (which controls the scrolling of the donations message in the sitenotice) was turned off for Wikimedia wikis (see related story).

Ongoing news
