I think that some people are looking at this the wrong way. The notability of Mark Duggan is being mentioned quite frequently but that is not what is being questioned here. Given that all the content of this article is already covered in better depth at 2011 England riots and with more contributors working on it. This has certainly affected the quality of this article.

The case of his death will more than likely be a significant issue over the coming months as more information is revealed and possible court action takes place. However, right now the article is not good enough to warrant the separation. I believe that some of the keep voters are doing so because they think the information should stay - yes it should, but removing this article would not remove that info as it's already in the riot article.

I would therefore respectfully suggest that this article is redirected for the time being with no prejudice against a future split. However, should the closing admin disagree I will not contest it. violet/riga [talk] 08:30, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
