The World Chess Championship 2024 will be a chess match to determine the World Chess Champion. It will be played between the defending champion, Ding Liren of China, and the winner of the Candidates Tournament 2024. It will be a best of 14 games, plus tiebreaks.[1]

The challenger will qualify by winning the Candidates Tournament 2024, which will be an eight-player double round-robin tournament. It will take place from 2 April to 25 April 2024 in Toronto, Canada.[2][3]
